UCCS fosters a community of research by offering research resources to students, faculty and staff. FEATURED PROGRAM MASTER OF ARTS IN COUNSELING: CLINICAL MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELING

COLLEGE OF EDUCATION

• The PhD program has a 91% completion rate.

This 60-credit hour program is based on CACREP training standards and is designed to meet the academic requirement for licensure as a professional counselor (LPC) in Colorado to engage in the independent practice of psychotherapy and behavioral health services. Students may simultaneously complete requirements leading to the Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC) qualification for the treatment of substance use concerns and other co-occurring behaviors.

The William J. Hybl Sports Medicine and Performance Center, opened in August 2020, offers broad opportunities to students in the realms of medical practice and athlete care and performance.
