WELCOME TO A Rebuild Bali Festival KEMBALI 2020 is a digital program designed to inspire, excite, reconnect, and revitalize the Balinese and Indonesian community from 29 October—8 November 2020. The theme Kembali highlights our beloved island, Bali, one of the world’s leading tourist destinations. Amidst a global pandemic, KEMBALI20 will be this year’s most important celebration of Indonesia’s creative arts and culinary richness, a pillar of human resilience and survival. Kembali—the Indonesian word for return—represents revitalisation in the face of global challenges. The Festival will unite people in Bali and other regions in Indonesia, together with an international audience, at a time when travel is largely impossible and creating connections is more important than ever before. Bringing together the most successful elements of Ubud Writers & Readers Festival and Ubud Food Festival, the program includes panel discussions, workshops, book launches, poetry readings, film screenings, cooking demos, and performances. KEMBALI20 was made possible with the support of the Yayasan Mudra Swari Saraswati Patron Program. Over 50 sessions as part of KEMBALI20 will be free for all users, continuing the Foundation’s longstanding commitment to accessibility and inclusivity.
