Alabama Insurance Day will celebrate its eleven consecutive year hosted at the University of Alabama and has moved well into its fourth decade as a premier insurance conference for industry professionals in the Southeast. The conference will be held Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Bryant Conference Center. Alabama I-Day features outstanding speakers in insurance, risk management and employee benefits, provides continuing education credit for professionals, and offers students an opportunity to meet recruiters from some of the best companies in the industry. The agenda for this year includes a morning keynote from Tuscaloosa Mayor Walter Maddox and a panel of Insurance Commissioners from Alabama, Tennessee and Florida. There will also be additional keynote addresses and breakout sessions focusing on property-casualty insurance, life-health insurance, risk management and employee benefits. About Alabama Insurance Day Alabama Insurance Day is offered by the Alabama Insurance and Risk Management Education Foundation in cooperation with Alabama Department of Insurance, the Alabama Insurance Planning Commission and The University of Alabama Culverhouse College of Commerce. Net proceeds provide scholarships and other benefits to UA students in the Insurance & Financial Services, Risk Management, and Actuarial Science Program.
