The MercedesTrophy is an exclusive series of invitational golf tournaments conducted around the world and has been running since 1989. Each year over 60,000 players from around the world tee off at the MercedesTrophy in local, regional and national events, competing to qualify for the MercedesTrophy world final at the ‘birth place of the automobile’, Stuttgart, Germany.

In 2020 Drive to the Major is an exciting element of MercedesTrophy which is a ‘Straightest Drive’ competition and will be held at the National Final. The golfer whose drive finishes closest to a marked line on a designated hole will be heading on a VIP trip to Royal St George’s Golf Club, England. Furthermore, the winner will participate in a qualifying tournament to win a spot in the Monday after event at The Open venue.

Technical Day AMG Car Club.

On Saturday the 8th of February 30 members of the AMG Car Club attended a technical day at Tynan Motors MercedesBenz Miranda, they were shown the latest diagnostic software from Mercedes-Benz Germany and how it is used by approved dealers like us.

Our service Manager Luke Tink explained the difference between how aftermarket code readers aren’t effective in providing the problem behind certain issues. He also gave a comparison between genuine and factory brake pads, oil filters and other important parts that are vital to ensuring your Mercedes-Benz runs smoothly.

The members got to see first hand the design and build of the GT R and G Wagon as they were displayed on the hoists in our workshop.

Dealer Principal, Kieran Tynan, our service team and key sales representative AMG Brand Manager Sal Ragonese attended the day to help answer any questions and give a better understanding to these Mercedes-Benz owners about their vehicle and maintenance.
