he Table View Neighbourhood Watch (TVNW) is determined to tackle crime by involving the youth in a bid to make the suburb safer. On Saturday 7 March, the youth watch
held a recruitment day for volunteers. According to media liaison of the TVNM, Laura Outhet, parents must be active members of the watch or special permission must be given for children between the ages of 12 and 18 to join. “TVNW members wanted to pass the same excitement for protecting the community on
to their children. Often their kids see them go on patrol and attend fun patrols with them. “This is when the decision was made to form TVNW youth. The kids wanted to organise their own fun patrols as well as spread awareness of TVNW to their peers. Our youth are our future leaders so it is impor-
