A fair bit to be proud about
Fairmont High School in Durbanville has won an award for excellence in English. Here Ron Dingley, principal of Fairmont High School, is handing over the award certificate to Carla Kurt, head of the English department. Dingley attended a luncheon and award presentation at the premier’s home at Leeuwenhof, where he received the award on behalf of the school. Dingley said this award would serve as encouragement for the 2013 Grade 12s, as well as the rest of the school. “Fairmont is indeed very proud of the English department for their dedication to their subject and of course to their learners,” he said.
