nxiety, fear and frustration are just a few of the emotions felt as the coronavirus spreads in South Africa. President Cyril Ramaphosa declared a na-
tional state of disaster on Sunday 15 March, implementing emergency measures to curb the spread of the virus. One of these includes banning gatherings of 100 people or more, leading to the cancellation of hundreds of events across the country.
TygerBurger spoke to various people across different sectors who are affected by the virus.
Emergency measures Measures Ramaphosa announced include the following:
. A travel ban for foreign nationals from high-risk countries, including Britain, Italy, Iran, Spain, Germany, China and the United States. South African citizens are also advised to refrain from travelling to high-risk countries. To page 2
