SETTING THE SCENE The Texas State football team looks to win its sixth game overall and fourth Sun Belt Conference game when the Bobcats return home to host Arkansas State on Thursday, Nov. 20, at Bobcat Stadium. The game kicks off at 8:32 p.m. on ESPNU. Texas State enters the game with a 5-5 overall record and 3-3 SBC mark after dropping a pair of gut-wrenching decisions with a 24-20 loss at South Alabama on Nov. 15 and a 28-25 decision against Georgia Southern on Nov. 8. The Bobcats also look to even their home record to 3-3 overall and 2-2 against Sun Belt Conference teams. Arkansas State enters Thursday’s game with a 6-4 record and a 4-2 mark in Sun Belt Conference games after winning two of its last three games. The Red Wolves won a 44-28 victory at Idaho and defeated South Alabama, 45-10, before dropping a 37-32 decision against Appalachian State last Saturday. The Red Wolves are 2-3 in road games this season with losses at Tennessee, Miami and UL Lafayette. The other win was at Georgia State.
