JULY 2012

NEWSLETTER Many, many thanks to everyone for all your support this year. It has been a tremendously successful year with lots of events taking place. We shall be very sad to see our Year 6 pupils leaving and we wish them all the very best in their future secondary education. We shall look forward to watching their ‘Leaving Concert’ at the end of term. We are also saying goodbye to our wonderful secretary Mrs. Pauline Reid is retiring at the end of this term, after 25 years service at The Twyn School. We wish all our leavers well in their chosen pathways and hope they will visit us again, as soon as they can. Thank you to all the pupils, staff, parents and governors who make our school a VERY special place to be. I hope everyone has a splendid summer vacation, wherever you go. Mrs. Davies

Friends of The Twyn A HUGE thank you to the Friends of The Twyn and everyone who helped the Summer Fair to go so well. The down pour of rain didn’t put you off spending your money and having fun!!!!! We made a healthy profit of £853. The Friends of The Twyn have also pledged £1,500 towards the School Council plans for developing the outdoor play areas across the three sites. With our ‘Everest climbing collections’, we now have approximately £5,000 to spend. Thank you so much for all your generosity. The Lower Foundation children wish to have a mural, and the Upper Foundation pupils wish to have their train extended for storage of play equipment. The KS2 School Council have visited another school to have a look at the different ideas. Their first choice is a swing similar to the one below. Quotes are now being sought for all these lovely ideas.
