AB OUT: Ljudevit Laušin's latest work, a short waltz, is a joyful recollection of the great Romantic waltzes of the past! Written with the young pianist i n mind, the melody sparkles and sings through its three short sections.

FROM THE COMPOSER: This little piece was inspired by the great waltzes of the romantic composers, so take the description in the title to heart when playing it.

The right hand should sparkle and sing out the melody whi le the left-hand keeps the pace, but make sure it's a bit rubato. It must not be mechanical! Bring out the contrast in the middle section, and make the Coda the expressive peak of the piece since it contains the most adventurous harmonies in the whole waltz. Be sure to add the pedal to underline the singing quality of the music, but watch out not to make it overly blurry.
