Dear Directors, We are proud to present to you our 2021-22 catalog release from our roster of well-established and up-and-coming composers. Included within, you will find original pieces, levels easy to advanced, as well as numerous new title additions to your local contest lists.

The T.U.X. People's Music team works hard each year to curate a meticulously edited catalog of works that will both excite and complement your educational instruction within the classroom. Seeking to raise the standard in everything we do, each page has been carefully engraved with efficiency of rehearsal and the performer in mind.

Each title offers a variety of resources for you and your ensemble. Through each scan-able code found within our scores, you are able to let the composer know that you are performing their piece, and even contact them directly for questions, clinics, or to discuss commissioning a new work.

Moving from its lyrical beginning to a rhythmic dance in 6/8, Convidando está la noche is a short yet fun work for your ensemble!

Bukin’s arrangement of this suffrage anthem, originally by Ethyl Smyth, is a wonderful representation of the original tune for ensembles of any type. Its simple rhythm and memorable melody make it a delight for all!

The Process

From light to dark and back once again, Tenebrae takes inspiration from Medieval motets to convey the transition from anguish to hope. Its subdued chromatic harmonies and scale passages will challenge any talented woodwind section, while brass will find their range and coordination tested.

From the composer: “If you are broken, go through the time of contemplation and meditation, and then allow yourself to be restored anew. This piece is the musical journey of that process. Many soloists are featured throughout the piece, including predominant parts for flute and piano.”
