TRAVEL PROGRAMME Day 1: Airport – Rabat Pick up at airport of Rabat and transfer to the hotel. Depending on the time of arrival, you will have the opportunity to visit the imperial city of Rabat, capital of Morocco since 1912 and see: the royal palace “Dar El Makhzen”, which houses the mosque “Men of Fez”, the Oudaias Kasbah and the medina. Free dinner time and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Rabat – Casablanca – Marrakech After breakfast we will drive to the Chellah, an ancient city founded by the Carthaginians conquered by the Romans, that later came under Arab rule. During a walk in this lovely place where tranquility reigns, you will see an incredible amount of birds including stork nests on top of the old minaret, but also the imprint of the Roman style and Moroccan on the archaeological site. Then we will drive to Casablanca, which is one hour from the capital and enjoy in a panoramic tour of the city,

passing along the Boulevard de la Corniche, the coastal road and finally the great Mosque of Hassan II, where we will admire the beauty of this monument (optional visit). In the afternoon we will continue to Marrakech, where we will arrive in the late evening. No meal is planned so that you’ll be free to try the local specialties according to your tastes. Overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 3: Marrakech After breakfast we will take a guided tour of Marrakech, which is the center of Morocco, and visit its ancient medina, its colorful souks and its famous tourist sites (the Menara, palaces El Badia and El Bahia, theSaadian tombs) and the famous square Jemaa el Fna, with its lively atmosphere both day and night. Free dinner and overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 4: Marrakech – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Gorges Departure from the hotel at 8:00 am. We will pass the High Atlas, through the mountain pass TiznTichkawhere we will make several stops with panoramic views of the mountains and surrounding villages. During this journey you will also visit a cooperative of Argan to discover the process of production of this oil that is a myriad of benefits for the human body. From there, we will continue to the south and then we will make a detour of 6 km on a track that will take us up to the fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou, where we will visit its Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site. In this spectacular place they made famous films such as Gladiator, Astrix and Obelix, Sahara, The Jewel of the Nile… After lunch, we will drive to Ouarzazate, considered as the big door of the desert, and we will continue from there to the Valley of the Roses, making a stop in theSkoura oasis to finally get to Dades Valley, where we will spend the night. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5: Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Erg Chebbi Desert After breakfast we will continue on a path that will lead us to the Dades Gorges that are known as a strategic place in the surrounding mountains. We will continue our journey along a road lined with beautiful Kasbahs, all different from each other, and then we will reach the Todra Gorges. In ancient times, the river has carved its bed on the soft limestone surface, among the rocks, forming the vertical walls of these canyons considered a paradise for climbers. We will stop along the banks of the river, where for a few tens of meters you can enjoy the coolness of the place and take a walk. Then we head towards the city of Touroug where we will stop for lunch and in the afternoon we will arrive to the beautiful sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. We leave our luggage in our vehicle and take a welcome tea in the hotel. After half an hour of relaxation, we will be ready to go to thecamp with the camels and spend an unforgettable night in the desert. In the middle of the way we will stop to admire the sun set over the dunes and stretch a bit our legs. Dinner and overnight stay in a Berber tent, under the spectacular starry sky, where we will enjoy the peace and silence of the desert.

Day 6: Erg Chebbi Desert After a peaceful night’s and a good breakfast, we will start the day with a walk in the oasis of Hassi Labied. We will continue with our trip in the off-road that will take us along the ancient route ParisDakar and beautiful places like the village of Khamlia, the ruins of the old mines of Mifis, the Berber nomads in their tents, and finally the village Tissardmine with its oasis and rocks full of fossils. In the afternoon we will return to our hotel and before dinner, we will take a walk on the sand dunes to watch the sunset. Overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 7: Erg Chebbi Desert – Valley of Ziz – Azrou – Ifrane – Fez The seventh day of our tour will begin with Rissani: visit of the traditional souk and the mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif. We will leave the desert and continue our journey admiring the pre-desertic landscape up to the Valley of Ziz where, on the left side, we will enjoy a breathtaking panorama of its

vast oasis full of palm trees. After two more hours of driving we will arrive in Midelt, famous for the production of high quality apples and mineral extraction, where we will stop for lunch. In the afternoon we will continue through the Middle andHigh Atlas, passing through Azrou (optional stop in the cedar forest to take photos of the monkeys that live there) and Ifrane, the Moroccan Switzerland (optional stop), to reach in the evening, the end point of our journey – Fez. Free dinner time and overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 8: Fez The whole day will be dedicated to the guided tour of the medina of Fez, a UNESCO world heritage site.

Itslabyrinthine streets, the architecture, the colors, the smells and sounds of the life in the medina will transport you back over the centuries. We will notice that it is a medieval city that endures over time, even 1200 years after its construction. A wonder! Free dinner time and overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 9: Fez – Airport Transfer to the airport at the appointed time and end of Tour Aladdin (Tour of the imperial cities, Erg Chebbi desert and Dades Valley).
