Trail Riding

WHAT’S INCLUDED? We provide saddle bags for your belongings, a rain slicker, and helmets (required for riders 12 and under, optional for everyone else.)

WHO CAN RIDE? The minimum age for our trail rides is 6 years old, no exceptions We don’t have an upper age limit, we just require riders to be physically fit to get on and off using a mounting block. The weight limit for our horses is 250 lbs.

CAN WE GO FASTER THAN A WALK? Most of our trails are only suitable for walking due to their steep and rocky nature. If you ’ re interested in learning to trot or are an experienced rider, we recommend booking a private ride To go faster than a walk, ALL riders present must be comfortable doing so and it is ultimately up to the wrangler’s discretion

WILL WE SEE WILDLIFE? Maybe! The Bridger-Teton National Forest is full of wildlife, including elk, moose, bald eagles, and bears. This is prime grizzly country, but our guides are extremely cautious and knowledgeable and will have everyone carry bear spray.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The half day and full day in Bridger-Teton, as well as the Family Fish 101, DO NOT include a Wyoming fishing license A fishing license is required and must be purchased separately. They can be purchased online at the Wyoming Game & Fish website.

JUST FISHING

This full day experience will have you enjoying Yellowstone from the cool waters of one of the park’s many rivers or lakes. Take in the thermal features and wildlife as you cast, in hopes of catching some world-class native trout!

While there is a lot of time in the van, our guides are sure to stop at plenty of viewpoints and highlights where you’ll get out to stretch your legs and walk around Be prepared to walk 1/2-1 mile at a time

WHAT IS A UTV? UTV stands for Utility Terrain Vehicle Often called side-by-sides, these vehicles are designed for rugged off-roading but are also legal on roads and highways.

WHAT ARE THE AGE RESTRICTIONS? To be the primary renter, guests must be 25 years old To drive a UTV, guests must have a valid drivers license To be a passenger, guests must be 8 years old or be able to place feet on the ground while sitting in the UTV (about 4 feet tall).

WHERE DO WE GO? We recommend taking our UTV’s on our extensive forest service road system near the ranch. We will go over a map in detail with you! The UTV’s are road legal as well, so you can drive them anywhere a car can go DO WE HAVE A GUIDE? That’s up to you! We offer both guided tours and unguided rentals. ARE THERE ANY EXTRA COSTS? The cost for fuel for the vehicle is built into the prices above. Damage protection is separate The damage protection is $55 and will give you a $3,000 deductible for 2-seaters and a $4,000 deductible for 4-seaters. If you decline the damage protection, you will be responsible for the full amount of any damage to the vehicle *Please note that UTV cost is subject to change*

Dubois Rodeo

The Dubois Rodeo offers an exhilarating glimpse into Wyoming's cowboy culture and Western heritage Held every Friday in the summer in the charming town of Dubois (pronounced DEWboiz), this lively event brings together skilled riders, daring bullfighters, and spirited spectators for an evening of thrilling rodeo action. From heart-pounding bull riding to barrel racing and roping competitions, the Dubois Rodeo showcases the grit, skill, and camaraderie that define the cowboy way of life. With its vibrant atmosphere, family-friendly entertainment, and genuine Western hospitality, the Dubois Rodeo is a must-visit event for anyone seeking an authentic cowboy experience in the heart of Wyoming

THE EXPERIENCE

Turpin Meadow Ranch offers a shuttle to and from the Dubois rodeo every Friday night during the summer. The cost includes your dinner at the ranch, the shuttle, and your entry fee to the rodeo!

Your rodeo experience will begin at 5pm with a sizzling BBQ dinner at Turpin Meadow Ranch At 6:15pm, the adventure continues as we load into one of our spacious, comfortable vans for the scenic one-hour drive over Togwotee Pass to reach the rodeo grounds After an exhilarating evening of rodeo thrills, we’ll head back to the ranch and let the memories of the Wild West linger long into the night.
