Greene Central School Field Day
Jenoup Bol Bol chases down Hunter Moore who has ‘stolen the bacon’ that is actually a rubber chicken. So the ‘Hunter’ is actually the hunted in this GCS Field Day. Steal the Bacon was just one of a dozen activities for the end of year fun day. (Photo by Bill Van Tassel)

Music for Mavis to Host “Roger and Pam”
On July 4th, the Music for Mavis summer Gazebo series will present “Roger and Pam” a well-loved duo to add a soundtrack to the happy holiday. They will perform from 11:00 am to 1:00pm. Roger and Pam, a well-known and loved duo, frequently appearing at Poland Springs musical venue and up and down the east
coast, will charm us with thier easy harmony, rolicking saxaphone, and sweet camaraderie. They are a crowd-pleaser. Come join the July 4th fun and festivities near the gazebo starting with the parade at 10:00 am. Tons of fun from the library's strawberry shortcake to chicken bar-b-que (at the Universalist Church with
lunches to go), to jumpy house, and a variety of venues, to the library book sale, all enhanced by music from the gazebo with Roger and Pam. Come join the fun! Bring a chair a friend, an appetite and have a fun 4th!n

There’s a nice slope behind Greene Central School that made for a great Slip-n-Slide for the Greene elementary students. It was away with the books and out with the suds for Jaidyn Negley and Ethan Gattie. (Photo by Bill Van Tassel)
