El Museo del Mar, ubicado en el Castillo Fortaleza, es el lugar donde se conserva y protege la memoria de este pueblo marinero.

El Museu del Mar, ubicat en el Castell Fortalesa, és el lloc on es conserva i protegix la memòria d’este poble mariner.

La Fortaleza, que sigue cumpliendo su papel de defensa, nos defiende del olvido.

La Fortalesa, que continua complint el seu paper de defensa, ens defesa de l’oblit.

Hoy es, como lo fue siempre, lugar de encuentro y centro físico y espiritual de esta urbe marinera.

True Mediterranean Identity Being Santa Pola a seaport, has been the deciding factor in the life of men and women who have lived in this village throughout the years.

The landscape, the stones, the everyday items, the people as well as their beliefs, all narrate the history of this territory.

Santa Pola is a village which lives off the sea, sings to the sea and the sea-gods and goddesses, and which builds fortresses and towers as a protection against dangers coming from the sea and stalking the coast.

Here the Mediterranean Sea still carries on writing the history of Santa Pola.

Agora The Museum of the Sea, located inside the Castle-Fortress, is the place where the collective memory of this fishing village is kept and protected.

The Fortress has, still today, a defensive role and it protects Santa Pola from ever being forgotten.

Nowadays The Fortress is, as it always was, a meeting point and a physical and spiritual centre for this fishing village.
