Every quarter, Tulsa Regional Tourism hosts a Tulsa Awareness Group (TAG) Meet-Up, where local businesses and organizations learn about upcoming large-scale events in Tulsa, how to get involved, be prepared, and maximize the opportunity with additional visitors in town.
Hosted at different venues citywide, meet-ups begin with a time to network, get assistance with their PartnerNet accounts, and participate in the Tulsa Area Attractions meeting. Following that, the Tulsa Regional Tourism team presents upcoming event resumes and data to properly equip organizations for the influx of visitors, and often, prominent local figures will speak as well.
In between the quarterly meet-ups, the TAG Monthly Snapshot highlights 10 of the upcoming 500+ attendee events over the coming 60 days, enhancing community awareness and preparedness.

Launched in Q3 of FY 24/25, SavvyTulsa is a free online learning module for Tulsans to learn more about their city and its tourism assets, preparing them to be welcoming ambassadors to visitors.
Those who complete the self-guided program, SavvyTulsans, can more confidently speak about Tulsa and make recommendations to visitors. Upon completion, these dedicated and enthusiatic tourism ambassadors also gain access to special perks like exclusive merchandise from Mythic Press, invitations to in-person tours and SavvyCelebrations at local businesses and insights into upcoming volunteer opportunities.
*course completions
Users were asked at the beginning of the learning module to rate their level of understanding and comfort discussing several key topics, then asked the same questions after completion to evaluate the extent to which the program achieved its goals of preparing Tulsans to be welcoming and knowledgeable tourism ambassadors.
