Final Reunion Report
Dear Members of the Tulane Law Class of 1974,
As the new dean of Tulane Law School, it is an honor to introduce myself to such a distinguished group. I am excited to lead this vibrant institution and to connect with alumni who have played a pivotal role in shaping its legacy. Congratulations on an achievement half a century in the making! Celebrating your 50th Reunion is such an important and meaningful milestone. I am grateful for the extraordinary loyalty and generosity that so many of you have shown in honor of this special occasion. It’s my sincere hope that this milestone served as a moment to reminisce and appreciate how Tulane Law, your peers, and the vibrant city of New Orleans have influenced your lives and careers.
In honor of your golden anniversary, 28 members of the Tulane Law Class of 1974 made gifts and pledges totaling $229,635 in support of the law school. The 1974 Class Gift empowers the law school to award scholarships, support faculty excellence and create hands-on learning experiences that make our students profession ready. To all who participated in the reunion efforts, you have my sincere gratitude.
Enclosed, you will find a report acknowledging the donors and volunteers who played pivotal roles in making your 50th Tulane Law Reunion a success. I’m delighted you were able to gather in New Orleans and celebrate the many achievements of the past half-century as well as the remarkable institution that brought such an outstanding group together to study the law. Congratulations again — and thank you! I look forward to meeting each of you and hearing your Tulane stories as we continue to build on the legacy of excellence you helped establish.
Warm regards,
Marcilynn A. Burke Dean and Mitchell Franklin Professor of Law Tulane Law School
