wOn August 29 , 0 , the Seton Sentinels were finally released to use the 55,000 square foot Academic and Fine Arts Building. For more than a year, we Sentinels watched anxiously as the building rose from a giant hole in the ground. Our suspense grew even more when the building was not quite finished on our day of school in the 2011•2012 school year. We watched daily as many construction workers worked tirelessly to complete the building for our use. I know some of us thought it would never come, but finally we were able to walk on the brand new tile fioors and experience the seemingly unreal new building. With the grand opening of the Fine Arts Building here at Seton, our campus, as we know it, has been completely changed. No longer are we taking classes only in homey old rooms and trailers. Now we are venturing through a story building complete with spacious rooms and even elevators. We sit in rooms filled with desks that provide more space than ever before. We can now sit in rooms and daydream while looking out actual windows. We can now feel as if we truly are rebuilding Seton and becoming a larger school. Seton, as we know it, has been transformed. However, even though we seem to have changed on the surface, we Sentinels can never forget who we are.

Founded in 1954, Seton began to educate students and bring them even closer to their faith life. Tragically, in , the Seton campus was burnt down to utter ashes. After this tragedy, Seton was rebuilt in 1983 where it currently stands today, North Dobson Road, on Ray and Dobson. For 28 years, countless Sentinels have sat in the desks in the A, B, C, and D buildings just where we sit today. So as you fiip through the pages of this yearbook, the yearbook staff and I included old photograph per section from a past Seton yearbook to show that even though it may not seem like it, the very rooms that you learn in have been rooted in our history for years. The very lab tables that you perform experiments on have been used by hundreds of past Sentinels before. The seats you sit in have had many different occupants, all just like you and me. And the locker that you call home has been open ned of times by not only you, but by more than twentv other students in the past. The teachers that are teachingyou have seen students just like you for years, and some were once Seton students themselves. You are not just a student. You are a part of the Seton family.
