the workplace. Our county’s schools offer a wide range of opportunities for students to complete graduation requirements, college bound pathways, career bound pathways, music, theater arts, industrial and technical education, and athletics. Our area high schools have garnered championships in Academic Decathlon and many athletic division and State titles. A variety of extracurricular activities complement each school district’s academic program such as athletics, student clubs, student government and leadership, career technical education, music, fine arts, performing arts, and career exploration. In addition to the curricular and extracurricular

programs provided at each school site, students from all schools benefit from countywide special student events and competitions that further develop and reward student interests across the curriculum. Columbia College is part of the California Community College system and offers a range of educational programs and services. The college’s primary goals are focused on helping students successfully transfer to a 4-year institution, complete a career technical education pathway, gain meaningful employment or earn academic awards such as certificates of achievement and associate’s degrees.
