ormed in 1885, the Fresno Chamber of Commerce was originally organized to promote business for the downtown area. Today, we are recognized as one of the premier Central Valley business trade organizations. For over a century, the Chamber’s mission has been “To promote business and enhance the economic and cultural well-being of the people of Fresno County.” Accomplishment of this goal has been made possible in part by the general membership of this organization. However, within this assembly, a notable group of businesses came together to give additional financial support due to their dedication to the Fresno Chamber of Commerce’s goals and objectives. This group is known as the Chairman’s Circle.
Inclusion in the Chairman’s Circle allows us to spotlight companies that are dedicated to the growth of the Chamber. These members have positioned themselves to help maintain a healthy, active organization so we may compete and be heard in the political arena at the federal, state and local levels. In return, Chairman’s Circle members receive benefits above and beyond typical membership, with the highest visibility at Chamber events and in publications. Chairman’s Circle memberships are available through a choice of three levels of financial commitment. eadership Fresno is one of the Chamber’s most prominent programs and is unlike any other course of its kind. It was founded in 1984 to enhance the skills, resources and civic involvement of business leaders in the community.
Graduates of Leadership Fresno have gone on to hold leadership positions in a variety of organizations; they have been elected to political office - like our

Each year, a new, elite group of Fresnans is selected to participate in the Leadership Fresno class. The program begins in August with an immersive two-day retreat, followed by day-long seminars each month. Additionally, it is incumbent upon the class members to determine a project that will have an effect on the community in a significant way – an endeavor that each participant must be integrally involved in.
