I appreciate your interest in our organization. With more than 1,000 members, our five-staraccredited Chamber is among the top 1 percent of Chambers of Commerce in the nation. The Chamber serves as the voice of businesses and industries in the central Louisiana region on local, state and federal issues. We advocate for important issues, such as transportation projects, regulatory issues, education, economic development, healthcare, workforce, the cultural economy and energy. The Chamber provides member businesses with a variety of options to develop and expand, such as workshops, networking events, targeted advertising opportunities, webbased business tools plus an annual Business Expo. Our Chamber hosts over 200 events and meetings each year to promote economic development and help our businesses prosper. Our successful partnership with the Central LA Economic Development Alliance, the England Authority and other partners has enhanced the economic outlook for central Louisiana. As a result of a partnership with the Orchard Foundation, CLEDA, the LA Workforce Commission, Central LA Technical and Community College and the Chamber, central Louisiana has earned a designation as a Certified Work Ready Region by ACT.
