Locals Help Neighbors Achieve Wellness
oday, in our highly-competitive society, individuals are oftentimes pressured and placed under undue amounts of stress. Life is conducted at a fast pace and, as a result, one’s mind, body and soul are often not in balance. Consequently, more and more people today suffer from stress, anxiety, depression, a lack of confidence, boredom, general unhappiness and a fear of the future. To stem this tide, a variety of practitioners in Arlington Heights are working to help others find wellness by balancing these three important aspects of humanity.

Dr. Sankrant Reddy expanded the successful Chicago psychiatric practice, known as The Clarity Clinic, into Arlington Heights last year.
At 2101 S. Arlington Heights Rd., #116, Clarity Clinic Arlington Heights offers a variety of psychological assistance to people of all ages who are in need of it. Dr. Reddy personally handles leadership and clinical oversight of all four clinics, to ensure the delivery of quality mental health care. He also provides medication management and brief psychotherapy, while his associates handle more intensive psychotherapy, neuro-psychological testing for cognitive difficulties, ADHD, personality disorders, dementia and other psychological problems. “We see disorders of all kinds and treat a broad demographic of patients from age five to senior citizens. In our downtown offices we generally see more people in the 20 to 40 age range who are suffering from anxiety, depression, insomnia, ADHD and work-related stress while in Arlington Heights we see a wider range of ages with a variety of issues,” he said. “It is relatively unique to have an outpatient facility that offers everything under one roof including medication management, neuropsychological testing and both individual and group counseling. And we see it all – eating disorders, grief issues and drug abuse. The fact that we have a variety of practitioners together allows us to confer if a patient is having problems and needs additional care,” Dr. Reddy said. The Clarity Clinic can be reached at (847) 666-5339.
a fitness facility that offered a variety of small classes specializing in cycling and strength interval training. Participants regularly flock to the studio to cycle in 45-minute sessions or participate in hour-long, coach-led strength training classes during which students rotate through treadmills, weight training and other types of fitness equipment. Yoga and Pilates are also offered on a limited basis. “Inspyr is meant for everyone and is open from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week. The studio offers male and female locker rooms with showers and complimentary towels,” Hegberg said. “Our goal is to inspire and motivate our clients to feel better about themselves, whether they are trying to lose weight or gain muscle mass by coming here,” he said. “The studios hopes that when they leave, their day has been changed and that they have an impact on their lives.”
