His goal? To buzz and bug Gates’ estate in his MiG. Sadly, U.S. Customs forbad the import. Bill Gates and His Mosquitoes – Gates opened a jar of these insects onstage at the Technology, Entertainment, Design Conference amidst tech giants, politicians, and stars. His intentions were philanthropic in nature, making a point about the danger of malaria. “I brought some. Here I’ll let them roam around. There is no reason only poor people should be infected.” Dennis Koslowski and the Umbrella Stand – Jailbird Dennis Koslowski, TYCO executive, has a $15,000 umbrella stand, $6,300 sewing basket, $6,000 golden threaded shower curtain, and threw a million dollar party for his second wife’s 40th birthday, complete with an ice sculpture that “pee-ed” premium vodka. A Brave New World – From Ireland’s business consortium Larionovo to Chinas’s Zhongzhou International, companies are quickly dueling it out to buy islands from The World, Dubai.
