Upcoming PBL Events MEMBERS’ RETREAT (Friday, February 27th) This semester’s retreat will take place at the Monterey Bay. Activities include sightseeing, SHOPPING, paintballing, and a visit to the MONETREY BAY AQUARIUM, which is the home of more than 200 award winning galleries and exhibits. Plus: Exotic fishies!!

Sports with Kids (Saturday, March 7th) Come help the R.O.C.K (Real Options for City Kids)’s basketball program end-of-session celebration by playing games with the kids, passing out trophies, and serving food for their potluck lunch. Plus: Fun day with the kids and get away before they start getting annoying.

Exploratorium (Saturday, March 14th) What’s a better way to celebrate Pi Day than volunteering at the Exploratorium in San Francisco? Join us for a day of Pi tossing, Pi string beading, and assembling Pi Day signs. Plus: Bonding time with various flavors of extraordinarily tasty pies

A Brave New World – From Ireland’s business consortium Larionovo to Chinas’s Zhongzhou International, companies are quickly dueling it out to buy islands from The World, Dubai. Consisting of 300 artificial islands made in the shape of the world map, individual islands are being developed into resorts, villas, and shopping centers – with an international theme.

As you are circling it you might realize that the right answers lie in that: the second set of answers! It is best to keep your resume professional and organized so it will be easier for your employer to scan through. Don’t try to fit your whole life in one page, pick out your key skills and points. You have all the time to elaborate in your interview.

SANDWICH

Tired of always eating out? Wondering how you can prepare a tasty lunch without spending too much time and money? Well, here is a convenient tuna salad recipe for you PBL members! If prepared ahead of time, the tuna mixture can be refrigerated for up to one week and will ensure quick and easy sandwiches when you’re in a hurry. Just scoop the prepared tuna mixture between two slices of bread, and you can be on your way out the door! "This tangy tuna salad gets fun flavor from sweet pickle relish and lots of crunch from apples, celery and walnuts. The satisfying sandwiches are a complete meal in themselves." - Taste of Home's Fast Family Favorites

INGREDIENTS MAKES 3 sandwiches * 1 (6 ounce) can tuna in water, drained * 1/2 cup chopped red apple * 1/3 cup fat-free mayonnaise * 1/4 cup finely chopped celery (optn’l*) * 1/4 cup finely chopped walnuts (optn’l*) * 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion (optn’l*) * 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish * 1 teaspoon sugar * 1/4 teaspoon salt * bread, toasted * lettuce DIRECTIONS 1. In a bowl, combine the tuna, apple, mayonnaise, celery*, walnuts*, onion*, relish, sugar, and salt. 2. Spread 1/2 cup on one slice of bread.
