Congratulations on a great season of TSCT! This year was full of great accomplishments for The Smalltown Circus Performance and Competition Team. Our team doubled in size this year and all our students competed in the international online aerial competition, Aerial Star Aeiral Competition. This year The Smalltown Circus brought 11 routines to competition. We have been working towards performing these routines at our showcase all season. Today you will see the routines that our students competed with as well as others.

Performers:
Aria
Aria started aerial silks at The Smalltown Circus in December of 2021. Since starting aerial, Aria has grown so much in grace and confidence. This is Aria’s second year on team. Last year she got third place! Aria enjoys posting Tiktok videos about her experiences, swimming, and hanging out with her friends. Aria also enjoys playing softball.
Lilly
Lilly began aerial in February of 2023. This is her 2nd year on team. Last year she got 5th place in competition. Lilly has a fun, sassy personality and loves her family. Lilly is known for her contagious laugh and support of others in the gym. Lilly enjoys challenging herself to try and accomplish new things. Lilly and her sister are commonly seen at the gym challenging themselves to new flexibility poses. hanging out with friends.
Kira started aerial classes in January 2023. This is her second year on team and her first year competing. Kira takes multiple classes at The Smalltown Circus including silks, lyra, hammock, and circus. Kira has an immense love for her family and four corgis. Kira is known for starting fun trends around the gym and supporting her teammates. She enjoys hanging out with her friends.
Lana
Lana started aerial silks at The Smalltown Circus in February of 2023. Kira takes multiple classes at The Smalltown Circus including silks, lyra, hammock, and circus. Lana found a love for acro and gym wheel this year. She enjoys attending Heart of Illinois Hoopers, acting in ArcLight’s theare productions, and running in track. Lana is also a published artist and writer. Lana is known at the gym for supporting others, helping with tots class, and sharing with others.
Cam
Cam began silks in February of this year. She saw team practice after her class and wanted to join immediately. She took the initiative to learn and master skills quickly to join team.
Cam takes silks classes regularly with her older sister. They cheer each other on regularly during class. Cam is a fast learner and a hard worker. She is very kind and considerate of others. When someone asks for help Cam is one of the first to help.
Josie
Josie has been taking silks classes off and on for a few years at The Smalltown Circus. She is very determined and a fast learner. Along with silks, Josie also enjoys stilt walking and acro. Josie is passionate and active in her church. She is very close to her sisters and family. Josie regularly has a large group watching her and cheering her on at practice. Josie also enjoys thrift shopping with her family.
Karma
Karma began silks in October of 2023. Karma works very hard in silks class and on her flexibility skills. Karma is regularly seen working on her contortion skills with her sister at open gym and at the end of class. Karma is very thoughtful. She enjoys giving thoughtful gifts to others and hanging out with friends. Karma also enjoys creating bracelets and acting in the musical. This year, Karma performed in Farmington Central’s Musical, Chicago.
Sawyer
Sawyer began lyra classes in June 2023. Sawyer’s lyra skills have grown a lot since last year. She recently graduated from our foundation’s lyra skills list. Sawyer is very passionate about circus arts and has expressed ambitions to be a professional circus artist. Sawyer is very close with her sisters. Sawyer enjoys homeschooling and regularly goes on trips with her homeschool group. She also enjoys horseback riding and going to comic-cons.
Anja
Anja began silks classes after seeing our first aerial showcase. Since beginning silks classes, Anja’s goal was to be on team. This year Anja achieved that goal. Anja takes aerial silks classes and Flexibility and Contortion class at The Smalltown Circus. Anja works very hard to build her flexibility as she aspires to do a split balance on silks in the future. Anja also plays softball and was very excited to strike another player out this season.
Emme
Emme began aerial silks in August 2023. She is a sassy, fun, and determined student. Emme adds a lot of laughter to the gym for parents, coaches, and her teammates. She has amazing technique and strong movements that is partnered by amazing acting skills. Emme is also active and strong in dance. She choreographed her routine for solo auditions for dance this year and is very proud of them. Emme recently performed in her dance recital.
Sabrina
Sabrina is a professional circus performer who specializes in aerial. She has a background in dance, tumbling, and trampoline. She teaches the aerial classes and circus classes at The Smalltown Circus.
Sabrina is passionate about learning circus arts so she can bring programs and opportunities to her smalltown area, choreographing routines, and learning about rigging aerial safety. Right now, she is working on learning more acro and german cyr wheel. You may have seen her perform at The Northwoods Christmas Production the past 2 years.
