“Coach Rudy,” is a national awardwinning teacher, author, and speaker During his return to Trumbull County earlier this month, Coach Rudy met with educators, students, and families from the TCESC, Brookfield, Champion, Niles, LaBrae, and Warren City Schools.
Matheny, a former classroom teacher of over 25 years, provides best practices for developing strong Social Emotional Learning programs and trains teachers to teach SEL skills in engaging and effective ways. Various sessions included hands-on activities on teaching to take a timeout, not make irrational decisions, and not “flip our lids.”
