Tournament Champions Tournament Champions

The Trumbull County Educational Service Center hosted the annual academic prep bowl competitions in January and February at Lordstown High School. Students in grades ranging from 5th through 12th competed in head-to-head team-based competition, answering questions about mathematics, literature, world history, science, sports, and more.

Congratulations to Joey Constantine of Lakeview on winning the TCESC Spelling Bee and Anthony Thomas of Niles, our runner-up! Thank you to Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber for your continued support. Joey also won the Regional Tournament in March, sending him to represent Lakeview Local Schools and Trumbull County at the 96th Annual Scripps National Spelling Bee on Memorial Day weekend in Washington, D.C.

WINNING WORD:

TCESC ED teacher Jen Mocella put on a Valentine’s Day tea party/conference. Students created the invitations using writing skills and have been Learning about good manners and food etiquette in class.
