Playsclarinetintheschoolconcertandmarchingbands. She enjoys the volunteer and leadership opportunities available through band and cheerleading and expressed that doing extra now will benefit her when she applies to colleges, seeks scholarships, and will give her an edge whenpursuingajob. Tyra represents the WGH freshman class as a cheerleader. Tyra has perfect attendance so far this year, and she is currently performing well academically in herfreshmanhonorsandAPcourses. Tyra appreciates the curricular and extra curricular programs and opportunities available at Warren G. Harding High School. According to Jefferson PK 8 middle school science teacher Ms. Gabrick, Ava is a model student and a natural leader amongst her peers. On a daily basis, Ava modelstheWARRENacronymwithfidelity. Ava, who is active in the choir program, hopes that these attributes lead to earning a spot on the year-end high honor roll as she seeks to maintain an A average throughouttheschoolyear. Ava has enjoyed her time at Jefferson where she recognizes Mr. Gabrick as her favorite teacher and School Counselor Ms. Vlahos Hall as an admired adult in the schoolcommunityforalwaysbeingtheretotalkwithherwhensheneedsit. Amazin’s time at McGuffey began in the pre-kindergarten program. Ms. Davis has been her favorite teacher thus far because they had a good bond, she was fun to be around, and of course because they have the same last name.
Her favorite subject is math as she has always been good at it, uses it on a daily basis, and “really loves money”. In fact Amazin earned money this summer through her lemonade stand business. She is combining her hobby of doing crafts with her math skills to start another business making and sellingbracelets,anklets,andearrings.

In addition to her excellent grades, Dakota plays clarinet in the school band. Her goals for this year include maintaining good grades for the durationoftheyear.
When asked about her experience at Willard Dakota brought up two of her favorite teachers, Ms. Miller and Ms. Meadows – whom she had in both4thand5thgrades.

Je'Laina Driskell Je’Laina likes to read books and mentioned that “Giraffes Can’t Dance” is oneofherfavorites. When asked what she likes most about her school Je’Laina said the she likestolearn,likesherfriendandteachers,andreallylikesPK 2principal Ms.Polderbecausesheis“nice,caring,andshesmellsgood.” Je’Laina also enjoys eating pizza and really likes to play on the swing set sinceshehaslearnedtooperatetheswingallbyherself.
