Back to School Bash provides a way for you to celebrate, educate, and empower foster and adoptive children and families. This is an event that is all about foster and adoptive children ages 5-14.
The goal of Back to School Bash is to provide these children and their families with back-to-school supplies, support, and educational resources as they prepare for the upcoming school year.
It’s our hope that all guests will have an unforgettable experience!
Back to School Bash will take place the weekend of July 27-30th, 2023, and is geared towards foster and adoptive families with children 5-14 years of age.
We want you to make this event your own and bring it to life how you see fit in your community using the following FOUR PILLARS to guide you:
• Financial grants for up to $3,000 to eligible churches and organizations
• Personalized guidance and support from a Jockey Being Family Back to School Bash Representative
• Detailed Lesson Plan and online BSB resource portal with event details, FAQs, templates, and event planning resources
• Access to resources on jockeybeingfamily.com for foster and adoptive families
• Jockey Being Family® backpack, teddy bear, parent tote string backpack and resource brochure
• Back to School Bash Jockey® t-shirts for volunteers
• Designating a leader from your host site to streamline communications with your assigned Back to School Bash Representative
• Executing your event using the Back to School Bash detailed “Lesson Plan”
• Inviting special guests to attend Back to School Bash
• Registering special guests and volunteers for Back to School Bash
• Partnering with local organizations and businesses to gain additional support and resources to enhance your event
• Purchasing school supplies and/or organizing a school supplies drive leading up to the event
• Ensuring all additional event requirements are met, per the “Lesson Plan”
