Community Circle
Members of our Community Circle have been consistent in their annual support, giving $50,000 or more cumulatively to United Way since 1990. Their contributions come as direct donations to United Way Greater Toronto, funded agencies, targeted gifts, our endowment—The Tomorrow Fund™—and United Ways across Canada. Their generosity is helping us tackle local poverty and related #UNIGNORABLE issues including homelessness, unemployment and social isolation.

In Memoriam STEPHEN PRIME
Stephen Prime always found a way to give back. Playing violin for palliative care patients at Dorothy Ley Hospice in Etobicoke, becoming a community hockey coach, and fundraising through his workplace campaign to help strengthen the community he loved. During a rewarding 30-year career at RBC, he was introduced to United Way’s work helping to give everyone the opportunities they need to succeed. Joining him in his love for community was Mary, his wife of 40 years, and their three children. The family’s involvement with their community inspired them to help individuals in need, including supporting a Syrian refugee family through their church, an experience that brought them great joy. Stephen is remembered as a mentor to many and will be missed by all those whose lives he touched.
