The rear mud flaps on a Trout River trailer are air controlled They are lifted by air cans that are activated when the tailgate is opened This means that the mud flaps are out of the way before unloading starts o This is important because the mud flaps often get damaged during unloading Simple design, and all parts are out of harms way, inside the trailer frame, except for lifting arms
