Safety The Trout River Trailer is not “just a trailer”, it is also a powerful machine with various mechanisms that could be potentially dangerous, the following are some general safety rules pertaining to Trout River trailers: • • • • • •
• •
Never enter trailer with conveyor in operation When conveyor is running be sure to keep all body parts, clothing, etc. clear of inspection doors, conveyor belt, or any other moving parts; failure to do so could result in serious injury Be aware of the tailgate position, and stand clear when opening or closing When trailer is unloading be sure to stand clear of the rear of the trailer, as to not get injured from the load being ejected from the tub Ladder is designed for a maximum of 250 pounds; do not exceed this limit. Top ladder rung is only there as a “hand-hold”; do not use as a step Trailer hydraulic system is designed to run in access of 2500 psi, this amount of pressure could be very dangerous; always take care when connecting hydraulic lines, that it is done properly, and replace any damaged hydraulic components immediately. Always be sure system pressure is relieved before maintenance o Always connect return line first, and disconnect last Air system can also be dangerous, be aware of air lines, that they are not damaged, and relieve system pressure before maintenance When working on the trailer, be sure all power systems are disconnected, unless otherwise instructed or needed, always be aware of present dangers

Description
1. Oiler on/off
This valve turns on, or off, the flow of oil to the chain oiler needle valves. Once the valves are set, all that must be done to oil the chain is to turn this valve on for 5-10 mins while the chain is running.
2. Oiler needle valves
Use knob to adjust flow of oil to each brush when oiler is turned on, each knob is held in place with a lock nut. Located behind the bulkhead, it is easy to see from the front access hatch.
3. Front access hatch
Located on the front of the trailer, this makes accessing the inside of the trailer simple, and safe.
4. Hydraulic return connection
The return should be connected first to avoid hydraulic system damage. Be sure this connection is threaded on properly and fully; improper coupling of this line will result in a trailer that wont unload and will most likely result in hydraulic system damage.

Be sure this connection is threaded on properly and fully; improper coupling of this line will result in a trailer that wont unload and can result in hydraulic system damage.
6. Tarp plug
2 pole socket that provides power and ground for tarp function.
7. Blue Gladhand – control (service) line
The line that carries the control signal from the tractor is called the control line. It's also commonly called the service line.
8. Red gladhand – supply (emergency) line
The air line that supplies the trailer reservoirs with air at full tractor reservoir pressure is called the supply line. It’s sometimes called the emergency line.

7 wire auxiliary plug provides power to any accessories added to the trailer. If facing the front of the trailer it is on the left.
10. Trailer light plug
7 wire plug provides power to all of the trailer’s lights. (clearance lights, turn signals, brake lights, etc.) If facing the front of the trailer it is on the right.

Description
1. Licence plate mount
Located on the rear bumper, underneath the belt.
2. Tailgate air seal
This seal is controllable from the control box on the roadside rear of the trailer as pictured. It is inflatable to ensure the tailgate is perfectly sealed. Do not pressurize above 50psi
3. Auxiliary lighting
Aux lighting can be added as an option, from the small work lights on the sides, to a large LED bar across the top.

Part 1. Crossbar indicator
2. Hydraulic supply line
Description This is a reminder of the crossbar(s) that run across the top of the trailer, from the left toprail to right toprail. Depending on the length of the trailer, there will be up to 2 crossbars per trailer. The upper of the 2 lines that run end to end.
3. Hydraulic return line
The lower of the 2 lines that run end to end.
4. Hydraulic system pressure gauge
Gauge shows the pressure of the hydraulic system. This system should not exceed 2800psi or damage may occur.
5. Conveyor chain adjuster
This is used to adjust the chain tension when needed, and is locked in place to maintain chain tension.

2 speed gearbox, Handle pushes in or pulls out for High and low range.
7. Air control box
Has various functions, diagram provided on the inside of the door. Note: do not change any of the pre-set adjustments outlined on the diagram
8. Inspection door
The trailer has two inspection doors, one per side. The doors can be used to inspect the inside of the conveyer, as well as to oil, and wash components of the conveyor.
9. Hydraulic and air control valves
In this box, there are controls for the belt, autobelt, tailgate, tailgate locks, and tailgate air seal, as well as a few adjustment knobs (pressure/flow)
