Draft Minutes of 176th Annual Meeting Trinity Episcopal Church, Toledo, OH

Sunday, January 26, 2020

10:40am - Meeting called to order by the Rector, the Rev. Dr. Lisa Tucker-Gray. The presence of a quorum was confirmed by visual inspection, and Roberta Durham was appointed clerk for the meeting. (This was our first time holding this meeting during the 10:00 worship service at the time of Announcements.) The minutes of the January 27, 2019 Annual Meeting were approved as presented. Vestry Member Donna Steppe offered thanks to six vestry members completing their terms: 1. Alice Todd 2. Darrell Cousino 3. Becky Roth 4. Jill Hunt 5. Jeffery Albright 6. Jamie Paul Donna acknowledged and thanked continuing vestry members: Bob Meeker, Roberta Durham, Dennis Degnan, Donna Steppe, and thanked: Trinity Treasurer Jane Bueche, Trust Fund Officer Greg Shumaker, and Assistant Treasurer Jamie Paul. Outgoing vestry member, Becky Roth presented the vestry approved slate of vestry nominees: Jeffrey Albright, Jamie Paul, Leah Reed (for full 3-year terms), Jane Bueche, Fritz Hany (for 1-year terms) With a slate of nominees equal to the number of vestry vacancies, and upon a motion duly made and seconded, the slate of candidates was elected by acclamation. Becky Roth presented an Administration Commission resolution to approve an amended and restated Code of Regulations, retitled The Bylaws of Parish of Trinity Episcopal Church, and a change of name of the corporation to be Trinity Episcopal Church of Toledo, Ohio. Upon a motion duly made and seconded, the resolution was approved by acclamation. Bob Meeker acknowledged the work represented by the written reports included in the 2019 Annual Report from Trinity’s ministries, guilds and committees. These reports reflect Trinity’s 2019 ministry, both what was done and who we are becoming together. Lisa acknowledged and thanked Trinity staff: Director of Operations Heather Meyer; Director of Music Nate Leonard; Communications Manager/Next to New Manager Lynzi Miller, and Sexton Nick Zurawski. Lisa thanked parishioners Kim Henkel, Nancy Colpaert and all parishioners who helped or participated in the ever-expanding Sunday Free Community Breakfast program- a symbol of who we are and want to become with God’s help. Lisa offered closing remarks and a final prayer. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 11:03 am. And the service resumed.
