Camp Trinity offers 30+ specialty camps each June and August. Camps are led by Trinity faculty and staff and include a variety of options for students ranging from Prekindergarten through Eighth Grade. Our summer camp runs over four consecutive weeks in June and for two full weeks and one partial week in August. It includes both half and full day scheduling options. Ballet Teacher: Danielle Richard Age range: 4–9 Description: Trinity Summer Camp meets The Nutcracker! Danielle Richard will teach basic ballet positions and beginning techniques of ballet; building poise, grace, and balance. Each ballerina will help make her own beautiful tulle tutu to be worn at Friday’s performance on the stage. This year the performance theme is Flowers in Bloom. Weeks offered: Week 2, morning only.

Basketball Camp Teacher: Cody Leake Age range: 8–12 Description: The Basketball Camp is designed to allow young athletes from ages 8-12 to learn the game of basketball and most importantly HAVE FUN. During this camp, the athletes will learn different techniques and skills of the game. This camp will cover different offensive sets to beat man to man and zone defenses and cover real game scenarios such as how to advance through traps and presses. We will also teach skills such as dribbling, passing, and shooting. On Friday, prizes will be awarded based on competitions throughout the week. Weeks offered: Week 2, week 4; afternoons only.

Cheer Teacher: Christina Perez Age range: 5–12 Description: Want a chance to show off your SPIRIT?!? Bring your energy and smiles! Throughout the week we will learn the basics of cheer: chants, cheers, dancing, and simple pyramid building. At the end of the week we will perform our original routine (put together by our cheerleaders) for the rest of the camp. Weeks offered: Week 2, morning only.


Coding Kids Teacher: Lauren Faucheaux Age range: 6–12 Description: Learn to code and create with Mrs. Faucheux, Dash and Dot! Dash and Dot are robots that can sense, act, and think! Students will learn to use block coding on four different iPad apps to control their robots. We are going to add maker materials such as legos, tape, cardboard, and more to transform our robots! The durable and kid-friendly robots are a safe and easy way our students will enjoy and be exposed to more STEAM learning! Weeks offered: week 3, week 4; morning only.

Football Camp Teacher: Cody Leake Age range: 8–12 Football Camp is designed to allow young athletes from ages 8-12 to learn the game of football and most importantly HAVE FUN! During this camp the athletes will learn different techniques and skills of the game. We will cover the route tree, defensive coverages, and how to read a defense. We will teach skills such as pursuit angles, flag pulling, open space agility, and catching. On Friday, prizes will be awarded based on competitions throughout the week. Weeks offered: Week 1, Week 3; afternoons only.

Dance Like Nobody’s Watching Teacher: Christina Perez Age range: 5–12 Description: We will be dabbling in all sorts of dance styles. From classical ballet to Fortnite dances–nothing is off limits! At the end of the week we will showcase our skills for all of camp to see. The styles will be selected by the campers, so if you’ve ever wanted to learn a certain dance, come let us know, and we’ll help you put on a show! Weeks offered: Week 3, afternoon only.


Fort City Teacher: Helen Reed Age range: 5–10 Description: Have you ever had a vision of the perfect fort? Have you ever wished you could have just enough time to get it perfect? Well wish no more—Fort City is the camp for you! Led by Helen Reed, students will use reclaimed materials, and we will spend the week building and presenting the perfect fort. Get in out of that heat and bring your imagination, because Fort City is NOT TO BE MISSED! Weeks offered: week 1, week 2, week 3, week 4; morning only.

Imagination Stations Teacher: Danielle Richard Age range: 4–9 Description: It’s time to use your imagination! If dramatic play is one of your favorite centers, this is the camp for you. Danielle Richard and the campers will transform the camp room into different stations, including a pretend restaurant, pet shop, construction zone, school, movie theater, nursery, and ice cream cart. Come stretch your imagination this summer. Weeks offered: week 3, week 4; afternoon only.

Fun in the sun! Teacher(s): Ruth Accardo and Lisa Magee Age range: 5–10 Description: This camp will play a variety of indoor and outdoor sports. The students will also enjoy fun outdoor summer activities and games. Weeks offered: week 1, week 2, week 3, week 4, week 5, week 6, and week 7; all day only.


Flicks! Food! Fun! Teacher:Kalpana Saexna Age range: 6–12 Description: Travel around the world through Movies, Food, & Art. Build an appreciation for other cultures. Step into another wßorld for a few hours.Each day these lucky campers will watch an international film, create a fun art project from that country, and enjoy a tasty snack from there. Weeks offered: week 1; morning, afternoon or all day.

Improv Teacher: Becca Chapman Age range: 8–10 Description: Ms. Becca Chapman is an established professional performer in New Orleans and a Fourth Grade teacher here at Trinity. In this, students are allowed to let their imaginations loose! Theatre games, character creations, improv activities, scene writing…YOU NAME IT! Come express yourself and have fun! Weeks offered: week 2, afternoon only.

International Camp *Continent Hop! Teacher: Anne Stackel Laurendine Age range: 5–12 Description: Grab your passport and join Mrs. Stackel Laurendine for international adventures departing from Trinity’s summer camp each morning. If you’ve done International Camp before, get ready for new stops on this continent hopping trip! Learn to watercolor paint, make worry beads, and make hummus in Greece, create beautiful drums and lights in Morocco, make pierogies and play games in Poland, and create your own dance and stacking dolls in Russia. Travelers will virtually venture to a new country Monday through Thursday and will travel like savvy world travelers sampling the culture’s taste, sight, sound, movement, crafts, and language!! Travelers will spend Friday completing their maps, passports, and scrapbooks from their virtual journey! Weeks offered: week 2, morning only.


Knight and Dragons Teacher: Christina Perez Age range: 7–12 Description: Here Ye! Here Ye! Calling all future Knights of the Round Table! In Knights and Dragons we will start our Medieval adventure by choosing the name you will go by as a Knight and designing a “crest” to represent you. That crest will sit proudly on the shield we will make, along with a costume. And what good is a shield without a sword? All of our new garments and armor will be used for a jousting tournament and dragon slaying!!! We will close out the week with a celebration fit for the King! Dilly, Dilly! Weeks offered: week 3, morning only.

Junior Titans Teacher: Mrs. Davida Ambrose Age range: 4 1/2–6 Description: This camp is for those who “just wanna have fun.” During the morning, campers will have an opportunity to play in centers, listen to a story, make craft projects, and play outside. In the afternoon, campers will get to go to water play. All morning and afternoon snacks will be provided. We hope you join us for some FUN in the sun! Weeks offered: week 1, week 2, week 3, week 4, week 5, and week 6. Morning, afternoon, or all day.

Learn! Build! Fly! Teacher: Madhav Saxena Age range: 7–12 Description: Learn how planes fly, the principles of flight, build aero models, and fly them! Each day these lucky campers will learn about airplanes and flight, build a model plane, and enjoy the thrill of flying them. Weeks offered: week 1; mornings only.


Lego Bots Teacher:Mrs. Lauren Faucheaux Age range: 7–11 Description: Students will bring LEGO robots to life! Lauren Faucheux will guide campers in learning how to write programs and code, construct and build attachments that help robots solve missions, and problem solve using computational thinking. This STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) course is designed as an introduction into programming and engineering using LEGO Mindstorms robotics kits and software. Weeks offered:Week 3, and week 4; afternoon only.

Les Enfants at Camp Trinity Teacher: Led by Michelle Oster and other Les Enfants Staff Age range: 18 months to 54 months Description: Are you looking for a safe and fun camp to send your kids during the months of June and August? Well look no farther, this camp is designed for young children to socialize, explore, and have a great time! Your child will get to experience a good balance of inside play and outside play. This camp will take place at Les Enfants. Snacks will be provided. PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL CAMPERS MUST BE 18 MONTHS OLD BY JUNE 2, 2019 IN ORDER TO ATTEND. Magic School Bus Science Teacher: Stacey Tasker Age range: 6–10 Description: During Magic School Bus Science, the campers will be watching different episodes of the Magic School Bus and then doing a range of experiments and activities connected to the video topic. The camp will help the students learn about different scientific topics and concepts through lots of practical experiments and activities. If your child loves science, this is the camp for them! Weeks offered: week 5; morning only.

Mardi Gras Bead Art Teacher: Danielle Richard Age range: 6–13 Description: Have you ever wondered what to do with all of the beads that you catch at Mardi Gras parades each year? Danielle Richard will show campers how to repurpose Mardi Gras beads into unique creations. Campers will make bead mosaics, picture frames, birdhouses, trays, ornaments, and more. Weeks offered: week 1; afternoon only.

Mermazing Camp Teacher: Danielle Richard Age range: 4 1/2–9 Description: Join Danielle Richard for one week of mermaid mania. Campers will create magical memories throughout the week, from mermaid headpieces and makeup to under-the-sea jewelry and slime. Campers will also create their own mermaid gardens with mini mermaids. It is going to be a mermazing time! Weeks offered: Week 2; afternoon only.


MUSICAL THEATER “Rockin’ Royalty” (must attend all four weeks) Teacher: Mrs. Anais St. John Age range: 9–14 Description: Jake and Ally have been eating at their favorite diner for years. One day they learn from Cook and Mary the Waitress that the diner has been bought by Lawyer McLawyerson, who intends to turn it into an expensive fine dining restaurant. As Jake, Ally, Cook, and Mary reminisce, they put coins in the jukebox choosing music that brings back memories of the good times shared in the diner. Inside the jukebox, the Kings and Queens of Rock and Roll, who collectively are the biggest, craziest, most successful stars in music history have a conflict over who are the true Rockin’ Royals. This fast-paced, fun-loving musical features the music of: “The King”- Elvis Presley, “The King of Pop”- Michael Jackson”, The Queen of Rock and Roll”- Tina Turner, Queen, Prince, “The Princess of Pop”- Britney Spears, “The Duke”- David Bowie, “The Knight”- Sir Elton John, and The Beatles. Weeks offered: weeks 1–4; afternoon only. MUST ATTEND ALL FOUR WEEKS.

Putting the You in YouTube Teacher: Christina Perez Age range: 8-13 Description: Ever watch YouTube and think, “HEY! I could do that!!” Well this is your chance to try. With so many types of videos online there is something for everyone. We’ll be taking the first steps towards creating a channel and finding your “YouTube Personality.” We will work on the technology aspect— learning how to upload videos and post online (including how to stay safe with an online presence). After getting through those basics, each camper will get the chance to brainstorm and select which type of channel/video they would like to produce. Then we will make that video happen! With so many kids fascinated by YouTube, let’s learn do it right! Weeks offered: week 4, morning only.

Robotics Teacher: Michael Wood Age range: 7–13 Description: What do Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, and the Terminator have in common? That’s right— robotic arms! You too can build your very own robotic arm. Campers will learn basic tool and wiring skills in building this controller-driven arm. The robotic arm rotates 180 degrees, has a self-contained night light, and can lift objects weighing over 100 grams! Using its four battery-powered motors, campers will compete for first place in games and contests. Space is limited to 12 campers, and there is an additional fee of $20 for the robotic arm kit. Campers will take their projects home on Friday. Weeks offered: week 1, week 2, all day only.


Rocketry Teacher: Chris Core Age range: 6–13 Description: Science fun will be a BLAST this summer with the ever-popular Rocketry Camp! Coach Chris Core will guide campers in hands-on construction of model rockets, ending with a grand launch on Friday. Weeks offered: week 1, week 2, week 3, week 4, week 5, week 6; morning, afternoon, or all day.

Slime Time Teacher: Sheila Edmond and Angela Jefferson Age range: 6–14 Description: Slime Time is a science experiment waiting to happen! Each day our students will learn about the different elements that are needed in order to make their favorite squishy and oozy toy. We will experiment making slime in different colors, textures, sizes, slime that glows in the dark, and we will even make HEAT SENSITIVE COLOR CHANGING SLIME! Shelia Edmond and Angela Jefferson will assist in helping each student create a work of art while stimulating his or her mind. Each day our students will bring home their slime to enjoy. So join us, and let’s make this a fun and slimy summer! Weeks offered: week 1, week 2, week 3, week 4; morning, afternoon, or all day.

STEM Passport Teacher: Stacey Tasker Age range: 8–11 Description: In STEM passport, the campers will journey around the world completing engineering projects in each location. They will start in North America at the Hoover Dam, move onto Europe, and finish their engineering journey in Asia. Each location will bring a new and exciting challenge! Weeks offered: week 6; morning only.


Superhero Training Teacher: Danielle Richard Age range: 4–9 Description: Have you always dreamed of becoming a superhero? Is so, then superhero training camp is for you! Danielle Richard will help each camper create his or her own superhero persona and costume. Superheroes will complete various training challenges throughout the week. How will you help save the day? Weeks offered: week 3 and week 4; morning only.

Sweet Treats and Cinema Teacher: Christina Perez Age range: 5–12 Description: Learn to make fun desserts—from Jolly Rancher lollipops to candy bar brownies and s’mores. Ms. Perez will teach you basic tips and tricks about making delicious treats. Campers will sample the sweets while watching a great movie. Weeks offered: weeks 2 and week 4, afternoon only.


The Mad Batter Baking! Teacher: Rhonda Dumas Age range: 8–13 Description: If your child loves to bake, wants to help you when you’re in the kitchen, and sees all the cake decorating shows on TV, this camp is the perfect fit. The best part is that every day the children get to take home their creations. Our camp’s main focus is to inspire your child to use their imagination and skills and be as creative as possible and nurture their love of baking. We will be making cupcakes, cakes, cookies, and more. Weeks offered: week 1 and week 2; morning only.

Wizarding World of Trinity Teacher: Anne Stackel Laurendine Age range: 6–12 Description: The kids will enter into a magical world of wizarding. They will be sorted into schools, make wands, cast spells, create maps, play wizarding games, earn badges, and much more! Weeks offered: week 1; morning only.


Writers’ Workshop

Teacher: Megan Dunbar Age range: 10-12 Description: Campers will create and read short pieces of fiction, exploring how to write strong stories. Building on their own knowledge and desires, campers will write, edit, and peer edit one polished work to take home at the end of the week. Weeks offered: week 1, week 2, week 3, week 4, week 5, week 6, and week 7; afternoon only.

Wood Model Building Teacher: Penny Pirri Age range:6 to 10 years old Description: Build a variety of models out of wood with precut pieces as well as pieces that you saw! (Safety goggles are provided.) You can construct the models based on the model directions or construct a model of your own design! Weeks offered: week 1; morning only.
