Around the Courtyard STUDENT SCHOLARS AND LEADERS… Mac Streher ’13 was a semifinalist for the National Merit Scholarship program. Seniors Jonathan Castellucci, Justin Davis, Tyler Jutz, Marce Merry, and Joe Pankey were all National Merit Commended students. Three of Trinity’s seniors took part in The Cochrane Summer Economics Institute (CSEI) last summer, a five week work/study program for rising high school seniors. Bridget McKercher worked at Pediatric Connection, Emily Rawls worked at Carmax, and Maggie Dodson worked at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. Mac Strehler ’13 and Tyler Jutz ’13 were nominees for a Jefferson Scholarship at UVA. Mac Strehler ’13 is also a National Merit finalist in the National Merit Scholarship Program. Jonathan Castellucci ’13 took part in The Summer Institute on Leadership and Public Service hosted by St. Christopher’s School. The institute is a five-week program dedicated to teaching leadership skills.
Above: Eighteen Trinity junior and senior IB Photography students visited New York City in January accompanied by art teachers Lee Hazelgrove, Meredith Turner, and Allison Fiebert. The trip coincided with the exhibition “Faking It: Manipulated Photography Before Photoshop” at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. They also visited exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art, the Guggenheim Museum, and local galleries. Left: Six Trinity students, students accompanied by art teacher Meredith Turner and librarian Sarah Greenlee, traveled to Fredericksburg Academy on Saturday January 19th for the first inaugural Student Diversity Conference. The SDC provided an opportunity for students to come together in forums to discuss issues of equity and diversity and participate in activities and sessions designed to foster honest and open dialogue.
