Gathering in Gratitude

The annual Titan Society Party was hosted by Jeff and Tamera Barnes, and drew a celebratory crowd of donors whose gifts to Trinity exceeded $1000. Guests were joined by TES trustees and administrators, and thanked by Headmaster Tom Aycock, who reflected on the extraordinary generosity shown by Trinity supporters. “Every gift, whether large or small, enhances the educational experience we offer our students, ” he said. “We owe so much of our success to those who give of their time, expertise and resources to Trinity. ”

SUMMER OFChange

Major changes have been underway on campus this summer. The Perkinson Arts Center’s visual arts and music spaces have been completed in what was once Carpenter Gymnasium. The newly-renovated facility now features studio space for painting, drawing, ceramics and sculpture. The music department boasts a new band room, digital music lab, office space and practice room.

In Morgan Hall, a new photo lab and darkroom has been built on the basement level. Digital photography will relocate to the old music lab. Plans are underway to convert the old band room to a dance space. Renovations also include improved office space for Trinity’s marketing, communications and development staff.

“Everything you see that’s new and better on our campus is part of the Future Pathways capital campaign, ” said Laurie Hedgepeth, director of development. “None of this would have been possible without the generosity of donors who have made gifts to this campaign. ”

The next phase of the campaign, which includes expansion of the theatre and lobby space in the Perkinson Arts Center, will take place when funding is secured. “The theatre is where we start our day at Morning Meeting, and where our talented students perform, ” said Hedgepeth. “We are hopeful that fund raising will allow us to make the improvements our students need. ”
