UP THE RIVER

The eighth grade class paddled up the river and through to the woods in September. On their trip, they practiced identifying animal tracks, tried the native pawpaw fruit and learned about the life cycle of the Dobson fly. Students returned to campus eager to share about how they grew outside of the comfort zone.
A SPECIAL RACE
For the 10th year in a row, Trinity hosted a Special Olympics of Virginia one-mile race last fall. The cross country teams ran alongside the athletes and the field hockey team created posters and cheered on the runners from the stands.


ART AND HISTORY
IB history students took a trip to the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA) in September to see the Faberge and Russian decorative arts collection.
SURF’S UP
As the summer wound down, the Outdoor Program traveled to Virginia Beach for some waterfront camping and a day of surfing.
A TRADITION OF HONOR
At the beginning of the school year, faculty and students took part in the annual Honor Chapel. Student leaders took time to emphasize what constitutes a violation of Trinity’s Honor Code, and as students leave, each one signs the Honor Code.


NINE MINI-STRATTONS
This fall’s Spirit Week saw students make spectacular catches in egg toss, cause terrifying tumbles in giant Jenga and see no less than nine Michael Stratton look-a-likes! At the end of all of games, the class of 2020 emerged victorious as the 2019 Titan Cup winners!


RICHMOND AND THE WORLD STAGE
Titans are rubbing elbows with some of the world’s brightest minds and thought leaders through Trinity’s page program with the Richmond Forum. These student pages support the Forum’s mission to bring “leaders from the world stage to our stage in Richmond—to expand horizons, stimulate conversation, and inspire our community.”
SPOOKTACULAR CARVINGS!
Titans had a Spooktacular time carving pumpkins on Halloween. This Science Society drew a crowd this year as they found that they needed 187 rubber bands to cause a pumpkin to explode.

DAY OF THE DEAD
In honor of the traditional Mexican holiday, the Spanish language club hosted a sugar skull cookie decorating station for the whole school to enjoy.
SWEET AND SOUR SCIENCE

Food was the central theme of this year’s IB Group 4 Projects. These science projects are designed by students and included questions such as “what food blocks the most radiation” and “what effect does sugar have on energy output?”
