So much to be thankful for

Together, by God’s provision, we have accomplished great things over the past 12 months.

The annual report is a yearly summary of Trinity School of Durham and Chapel Hill’s fiscal year contributions and philanthropic efforts. The purpose of this report is to highlight the accomplishments of the past year and celebrate the Lord’s blessings and the generosity of the Trinity School community.

The annual report reflects data from the 2018–2019 fiscal year, which ended June 30, 2019. All gifts received after that date will appear in the 2019–2020 annual report.

Audited financials for this past year will be available later in the fall.

Dear Trinity Community, We shouldn’t be surprised by the generosity of the Trinity community—we are, after all, a community shaped by the story of a generous God and inspired by the Spirit, who gives and gives and gives.

This past year was truly special. Along with Trinity Forward campaign chair David Spence and a team of volunteers, I had the privilege of meeting with over a hundred families to hear about Trinity’s impact on their lives and why they value this place.

The generosity of the Trinity community through the Trinity Forward campaign has yielded the largest amount of money ever pledged in a single academic year: over $5.5 million. Thanks be to God! In the year before us, we will reap the blessings that this openhandedness has sown.

Our faculty compensation continues to increase, according to the strategic plans we have laid, and we have hired truly excellent new teachers and staff. We hope to see our new Arts and Engineering Building begin to rise up out of the ground sometime this school year. Plans for new after-school space are being developed, and our Lower School is enjoying some new updates as well. All of this is made possible by the Trinity Forward campaign.

I want to thank everyone who gave this past year. Your gifts, no matter the size, have made a great difference for good.
