IAN EVANS ('77) has been employed by the Townsville Port Authority since 1990. In 1984 - 85 he was on a working holiday in the U.K. and Europe.
ROGER HARLEY ('77) is involved with Corporate Services at Bain and Co., investment bankers in Sydney. Also with Bain are HAL HERRON ('77) and STEVE KENNEDY ('76), who are both in the Capital Markets area. SHARON ORRMAN-ROSSITER ('77) returned in January with her husband Kevin from the University of Manchester, where Sharon gained a PhD in Clinical Biochemistry. She is currently working in the Physiology Department in the University of Melbourne. MARK WILLIAMS ('77) has completed his D.Phil. thesis on Jacobean dramatic techniques. His thesis was accepted by the University of Oxford in July 1990 and he was appointed as an Associate at Stephens Solicitors in Melbourne where he practises in intellectual property law, particularly computing and entertainment law. SALLY HAWKINS ('78) nee Carruthers moved to Horsham and as Secretary Accountant helped set up the Wimmera Wool Factory, a centre set up to encourage disabled people in the Wimmera to return to the workforce. She left this job to marry Wayne Hawkins and they are now farming at Frances on the SA/Victorian border. They have three daughters, Laura (5), Kirsty (4) and Anna (1). HEATHER NEILSON ('78) recently completed her D.Phil. on Gore Vidal at Christ Church in Oxford where she has spent the past 4 years. It was a joy to see her when she called into Trinity recently on her return to Melbourne, before returning to England.
specialising is malarial research, in the Department of Biology, Imperial College, London University. Ross FISHSURN ('79) had a busy year in 1990. It saw him move from Springvale to become the Vicar of St John's Wantirna South, and he also successfully completed his studies for a Master of Theology degree. HUGH HUNT ('79) is currently lecturing in the Engineering Department of Cambridge University. He is also a Fellow of Trinity College, Cambridge. ANN ROWLAND ('79), married Duncan Campbell at the end of 1990 and now resides with her husband at Myall Hollow, a property approximately 500 km north of Sydney. MICHAEL TRAILL ('79) is with the Macquarie Bank in Sydney, and among other things is notable for organising a monthly Corporate Challenge Run around the Opera House and the Botanical Gardens. FIONA COURT ('80) was married to Paul Langford in the College Chapel on 13 April. The service was conducted by the Warden and music was provided by the Trinity College Choir. CATHERINE DAY ('80) nee Settle is now a Captain in the Australian Regular Army and is currently working at the Directorate of Military Intelligence in Canberra. Never one to do things by halves, she produced twin daughters, Lyndal and Michaela, in 1988. She is married to Geoff Day, a member of the Army Bomb Squad. GEOFF HAMILTON ('80) and JAN SHERIDAN ('81) have been living in Perth for 4 years. Their first child, Claire, was born on 28 March 1991. Geoff works for the Kondinin Group as Group Project Supervisor.
GARRY THOMSON ('78) and JOANNA ('75) nee Lawrence have been married for five years and are having great joy from the birth of twin daughters, Jennifer and Nicola, last August.
ANDREW MAUGHAN ('80) has been awarded a Rupert Murdoch Scholarship of $35,000 for study for 1 year at the Chicago Graduate School of Business.
KAREN DAY ('79) formerly Forsyth, has been appointed as Lecturer in Molecular Epidemiology,
KAY GOLDSWORTHY ('81) who is the Chaplain at Perth College, recently gave birth to twin boys.
