SERVICE AWARDS

Trinity community, Together, we celebrate the many contributions that faculty and staff have made to Trinity this past year. Normally, this would be a time for many of us to gather together in the Margarite Parker Chapel and exchange well wishes with one another. And while our circumstances are different this year, the purpose of this virtual gathering is as important as ever.

Thank you to all our service award recipients. The Trinity University community is stronger because of YOU. You have worked tirelessly to ensure our students continue to receive an impactful education that allows them to become compassionate, critical thinkers in a time when the world desperately needs them.

We spent 2019 celebrating our 150th Anniversary, acknowledging Trinity’s resilience through a century and a half of seemingly insurmountable obstacles. Little did we know that remembering our past would prepare us for the challenges we faced in 2020 and the creative thinking we’ll engage in 2021 and beyond.

I remain confident that we will conquer our current challenges by relying on our time-tested values of discovery, impact, excellence, the individual, and community. Community is especially important as we learn to adapt important events like this one -- into something where we can still recognize the important contributions that you have made.

Thanks to each and every one of you for exemplifying those Trinity ideals, and thank you for your hard work and dedicated service over the years. I’m excited to see where we can take Trinity.
