Central Square Community Center Board Member Job Description Qualifications: 1. Reside in or work in South Saint Paul 2. Willing to make time commitment 3. Interested in the School District/City and Central Square Community Center 4. Knowledgeable of community resources, organizations, needs and concern 5. Willing to work on committees and projects 6. Willing to seek input from neighborhoods, organizations and individuals 7. Willing to participate in community activities Responsibilities: 1. Attend regularly and actively participate at meetings 2. Review and approve Central Square annual operating budget 3. Seek input from and provide information to community contacts and report back to council and staff 4. Advise Central Square staff regarding programs/services 5. Be informed about Central Square programs and services 6. Seek new ideas and different strategies from other communities 7. Promote awareness of Central Square 8. Advocate for local support of Central Square programs and services Accountable To: 1. Community at large 2. School Board/City Council 3. Special School District 6 and City of South St. Paul staff representatives Term: By appointment three year term Meeting Schedule, time and location: The Central Square Community Center Board meets 5 times per year: January, March, May August and November We meet on the Third Thursday of our scheduled meeting months from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at Central Square Community Center, 100 7th Avenue North, South Saint Paul, MN November 2014
