Our R&D team combines decades of experience in naval architecture, hull design, foils and development in the field of sailing and windsurfing in the biggest teams. We have put our heart and experience in developing the AFS foils range. PROGRESSIVE Performances :

An accessible, versatile and scalable foil. The Wind 85 has one goal: to make windsurfing foil accessible to the greatest number. We have taken over the elements that made the AFS-2 successful, improving them with the major changes made to our new Wind 95 and 105 models. The profiles of the mast and the front wings are the same as on the Wind 95, The shaft measures 85cm, ideal height to begin without undergoing the touches with the chop. The wings are accessible and fast. This foil is evolutionary and can be upgraded with all the wings of the AFS range. We also worked on a new construction to propose an accessible price, still in full composite, withou aluminum inside. Your foil will be strong, durable, and will flight for a long time. Performances :

The Wind 95 could be called «AFS-2 perf», but it’s still easy. The profile of the shaft has been modified, its length has been increased, and its stiffness is unequaled. This reduces the risk of «touch» and increases the angle to gain performance downwind as upwind. The new stabilizer providing more support at all speeds. Driving is safer at high speeds and on rough water. The fuselage is the same as that of the AFS-2, for a perfect stability / trajectories / Vmax ratio. The F-700 wings are really versatile. They have a really big range of use, efficient at all paces, beam reach, close reach, broad reach...from light to high winds. You can complete the set by adding the F-800, for ultra-lightwinds /or heavy weights, or the F-700s, if you want the maximum speed from medium to high winds. Performances :

The Wind 105.R is the race version of the Wind 95. The profile of the shaft is the same but the length has been increased to 105 cm. Driving is safer at all speeds in the chops and the swell. The counter-grain is facilitated. The fuselage is the same as that of the Wind 95. The Wind 105.R is available with the R-800 wings or with the R-800/R-750 combo. The R-800 wings have a special profile, thick, with a lot of lift, really efficient in light and medium winds, to perform during the upwind and downwind runs. The small chord authorise big Vmax, to obtain the best VMG during your races. The R-750 have been designed to reach the maximum speed in medium to high winds. Thin, small chord, they’re really fast ! Not only it starts very early on the slightest wave, is handy, but in addition it is ultra accessible. It opens the doors of this practice to the greatest number. With AFS Surf you discover new sensations, exploit the smallest swell, surfing, SUP, downwind, whatever your spot. Why a fixed shaft fuselage on our high end foils ? Simply for obvious reasons of rigidity, strength, durability of your product. We do not want to make any concessions on the quality of our foils. With this system, the rigidity is optimal, it is both synonymous with performance (no latency in the reactions, transmission of efforts), and safety, since the more a foil is rigid, the more it is safe at high speed. In addition, you have no risk of making play, loss of parts, which ensures an optimal life of your foil.

Why is there no aluminum foil in the range ? While it is clear that aluminum materials are attractive from a sales point of view for the sales prices they achieve, our experiments and tests show us that the mechanical properties and the service life of parts in aluminum exposed to such constraints (saline environment, forces exerted) do not correspond to the quality standard that we owe to our customers. The full carbon is the only way to have a powerful product with no life limit.

How is an AFS built ? An AFS foil benefits from a carbon prepreg expertise, with 2 main types of construction : Hollow technology : This is our high end construction, A complete full carbon prepeg envelope, with carbon structure inside, and nothing else, just air inside.There is no foam whatsoever inside, no risk of opening, no aluminum. The strongest and lightest construction we can find on the market. Monolithic technology : We stack Prepreg carbon layers in an aluminum mold that we press by heating it to a very precise time cycle and temperatures to achieve optimal mechanical properties. There is no foam whatsoever inside, no risk of opening, no aluminum. The inserts are all stainless steel, and the shaft and fuselage inserts are molded at the same time as the carbon structure, for the best resistance and the best precision.


FAQ ! what’s your question ? Made in France, really ? For AFS and Foil And Co, the words “Made in France” are not pronounced lightly. All stages of manufacturing are carried out in France, next to Brest, in our own factory. We do our best to find our suppliers of raw materials in France, or at least in Europe to respect a “short circuit”, limiting carbon emissions, and in accordance with our desire to re-locate a production in France. Our carbon is supplied by Distibution Composite (France) and is manufactured by Hexcel (Austria). Our stainless steel inserts (box / fuselage) and our hardware come from Belgium. Our cardboard packaging comes from France By purchasing an AFS foil, you are sure to promote what French industry is doing best at the moment. Stall you foil in a deep tuttle box ? For obvious reasons of compatibility with the majority of the boards of the market, our windsurf foil is mounted in Deep Tuttle configuration. For fin manufacturers, the deep tuttle should be 16mm wide at +/- 0.2mm. Our foils come out at 16mm / 16.1mm. We measured board boxes between 15.8 and 16.4mm wide. It is therefore possible to sand the side faces slightly to insert your foil in the box. Note that it must still come in force to limit the play and the risk of breakage in the limp.

Products cross-compatibility ? When designing the AFS-2, we took the utmost care to develop a reliable and optimized docking system, so that it lasts over time. Thus, the wings delivered with the AFS-2 will be compatible with our future foils, and future wings that we will unveil will also be compatible with the first AFS-2. In this way, we fight against planned obsolescence, and you are sure that your foil will perform well, for a long time.
