I would like to start off by saying thank you to all of our loyal customers for your support and for your belief in our program. You are the reason that we work so hard to produce the best real world cattle that we possibly can. Teresa and I place all things in GOD’S hands. He has a plan for all of us. Our trust in him guides us as each New Year brings challenges, victories, and a compass to navigate in difficult times. We as cattlemen in the industry face each one with a sense of pride, determination and elation. We are now entering into the spring of 2023 and as an industry, things are looking more favorable. We all are still facing high input costs but the market price for our cattle seems to be strong and on the rise. We are cautiously optimistic for what lays in store for the rest of the year. We increased our herd size last year which has given us an opportunity to expand the number of lots that we will be offering in both the spring production sale and in the fall KY’s Finest sale. We have also expanded and diversified some of our genetics and are introducing some new lines in our program. This diversity has given us the ability to be more selective in our breeding and mating that we feel has improved our genetics. The offerings in this year’s sale are strong. The bulls are deep and stout with lots of power. Each year we seem to get better and better in mating the right combination that produces the type of bulls that you as customers are demanding. We have loaded up the bases in the female category. I really dug deep in the heifer pen and we are offering many females that I would have preferred to have kept in the herd if capacity would allow. Many of them are as good as you will find in the breed. Our females have over the years proved themselves to have the maternal traits needed along with lots of milk that produce those fast growing structurally correct calves. We spend a lot of time each year planning our mating selection so that we can achieve our goals and incorporate superior genetics into our herd. I am confident that once you review the offering for both bulls and females that you will agree that this is one of our strongest overall offerings of balanced and profitable animals. As always we try to make the spring event grand. On March 17th pre-day sale cattle viewing will be available all day. This is a festive day that allows us to take the time to meet potential customers and visit with many of our loyal repeat customers that we are proud to call our friends. We have a vast number of repeat customers and that gives Teresa and I a great sense of pride in knowing that we did our job as producers in satisfying our customers’ needs. The presale day festivities are a grand event. There will be live bluegrass music, an industry related seminar, industry representatives on hand to answer your questions, hundreds of dollars in free drawings and prizes, along with a fantastic evening meal. We sincerely hope that you will mark your calendar and join us for both days. The Black is the Color sale has always been one of the most complete and elite sales in the Black Hereford breed. You don’t want to miss this one. On behalf of Teresa and myself we hope to see you here and we want to wish all of you a profitable and prosperous year.
Sincerely,
Tim and Teresa Tarter Triple T Farms LLCMany Bulls in the Sale are eligible for cost share money on bull purchases for qualified buyers through their prospective state.

I am really excited to see what this sire will do in the next few years for some lucky breeder. His dam is one of the best F1 females we have ever raised. Her calves’ performance has been over the top. His overall EPDs are some of the best in the breed. I think this bull is going to be special.
This is a high % bull that is ready to go to work. He is heifer acceptable. This is a mature bull that can handle some heavy service.
We are very pleased to be able to offer this group of purebred bulls. We have raised them since weaning. They are out of Red Herefords dams that are as good of group of females that I have ever seen. Their dams are backed with some great genetics in their pedigrees. We have seen the kind of performance animals that those females have produced in the past. We feel this is as very good group of spring 2 year old bulls as you will find. All of them are purebred and they will work in many programs rather it is a commercial breeder trying to produce the maximum hybrid vigor or in a registered herd that may be trying to raise the % in their herd. Most of these bulls are homozygous Polled. They have very good EPDs and most will be heifer acceptable. Their sires have proved themselves in the Black Hereford breed through their progeny. I don’t think you could find more purebred bulls to choose from that are of this quality. They are ready to go to work anywhere. You better look them over good.

There is a lot of volume and style in this HX heifer. She did well with her weaning ratio at 102 and showed the same kind of growth at yearling with a 102 ratio. She ranks in the top 10% of the breed for docility. She is a strong prospect for a performance dam in the pasture. She sells safe in calf for a fall calf. AI on 11/22 to Y702 then pasture exposed to Triple T’s Taz 34J on 12/21
This group of fall bred heifers is for the most part half-sisters. They are a really stylish group of females. Their dams are Red Hereford that carry a heck of a pedigree and sired by a Black Hereford bull. They are all purebred and ready to go to work. It’s not a matter of which ones are better because they are all peas in a pod. It’s just a matter of how many of these quality bred heifers you want. They will excel in someone’s program. They all boast exemption EPDS They sell safe in calf for a fall calf.

Here are 6 excellent F1’s that would be an sure fire way to start a herd from quality base genetics or put them to work in a commercial herd to raise calves that will be loaded with heterosis and hybrid vigor. It’s hard to beat a good F1 for performance and growth. These are as good as you will find and their pedigree will back up their worth. They sell safe in calf for a fall calf. They all were AI bred on 1/23/23 to Griffin 30G then pasture exposed to Triple T’s Taz 34J. Sire and calving date announced day of sale.
You better jump on this open female. She is really going to be special and to cap her off she is sired by one the best bulls we have ever owned Solomon. He is deceased so his progeny going forward will be hard to come by.

Everybody now seems to be producing embryos but, the question I would ask is are they from proven donor cows and sires. We can say that ours are. I encourage you to look at this mating both on the dam and sire side. We have done this mating several times in the past and every calf was a winner. Talk is cheap but the proof is in the progeny. This may be the last of this mating as Y702 is now deceased and his semen is limited. These are convention embryo’s not IVF so your conception rate should be higher. We only use # 1 embryo’s and as always we guarantee 1 live pregnancy with each package of 3 if work is done by a license embryologist.
(1.7) (71) (81) (20) (40) (5.8) Lot 93Donor DamSolomon is without question the most versatile and impressive performance sire that we have ever raised. He is now deceased but all of his calves over his short life have been exceptionally good, both bulls and heifers his offspring has always outperformed any bull we have had and his calves top the sale. His semen is limited and we rarely release much of it. Take advantage of this rare opportunity to purchase straws of his semen. I promise you will be impressed
TH 133U 719T UPGRADE 69X
He is one of the highest accuracy bulls in the breed. He is an older bull in the breed but because of the performance growth and style of his calves he still today remains popular. Because he works on some many different styles of cattle we have used him heavily over the years. He is now deceased and we have a limited supply of his semen. When it’s gone they will be no more. You owe it to yourself to use him in your program before it’s all gone.

Griffin has really come on the scene since the death of Solomon. His popularity is growing quickly as he is a younger full ET brother to Solomon. He has quickly proven his worth as a well-balanced sire and in some cases his calves are performing better than Solomon. He is going to be a great replacement for the Solomon bull. He is truly a bull that everyone should have some of his genetics in their program.
