BEN LEWIS FOUNDER OF TRENZSEATER / INTERIOR DESIGNER

BEN LEWIS established TRENZSEATER in 2000 to fulfil a niche in the market for tailor made luxury furniture. It was from this foundation that Ben grew TRENZSEATER into a national company with showrooms in Christchurch, Auckland & Queenstown, specialising in interior design, custom furniture designed by Ben and a large portfolio of International brands that TRENZSEATER distributes.

Ben has an infectious passion for Interior Design, and it was his passion that has grown TRENZSEATER’s significant Interior Design division, which Ben manages. Recently, it has been Ben’s excellence in interior design that has seen his work receive considerable international recognition through the Andrew Martin Interior Design Review, Design et Al International Design & Architecture Award and the SBID International Design Award in London along with the International Design Award (IDA) in Los Angeles.

Ben has been fortunate, honoured and respected to have had the opportunities to engage in the interior design for some of the finest residential properties in New Zealand, and it is these projects which have been selected as finalists in the International awards and have seen Ben’s work published through invitation in “The World’s Leading Design Names” in 2018 - 2022 editions.

These accolades on a global scale have distinguished Ben Lewis as one of the most forefront current interior designers internationally. TRENZSEATER was a finalist for the 4th consecutive year in the SBID (Society of British International Design) awards for interior design work by Ben Lewis.

The SBID International Design Awards has firmly established itself as one of the most prestigious Interior Design Award events in the global design calendar, representing talent and design excellence across all corners of the industry. Submissions were received from over 42 countries, with each entry undergoing an exclusive two-tier judging process by panels of leading industry experts from Christian Louboutin, Bentley Motors, Boeing, Walpole and Belmond to name a few, making it truly an honour and a sign of industry recognition that is second to none for the deserving winners.

The awards recognise, reward and celebrate design excellence across a broad range of design categories. Winning a SBID International Design Award is a high achievement as they are evaluated by leading industry experts for their technical content and aesthetic creativity, while the design-conscious public also has a say in choosing the most inspiring projects.

Our inclusion in the SBID International Design Award reinforces our interior design work on an International platform, whilst providing exposure amongst a global network.
