Discover, reflect, engage - dare to be Champlain! Champlain College embodies the spirit of adventure and discovery of the famous French explorer for whom it is named. Situated on the west bank of the Otonabee River, Champlain’s environment provides many opportunities for reflection and informal learning. At the centre of the college is the impressive Great Hall – a multipurpose space for meals, studying, public lectures, concerts, receptions and hanging out. trentu.ca/colleges/champlain
The word “Otonabee,” from the Anishnaabe language, means “fast and boiling waters.” It gives you a sense of the exciting and energetic life at this college. But harmonizing with our natural environment doesn’t stop there – even the architecture of OC is designed to look like the rolling drumlins that surround Trent. OC is home to Wenjack Theatre, Trent’s largest lecture hall and performance space. OC is a thriving neighbourhood, right in the heart of campus since 1972. trentu.ca/colleges/otonabee
