Professional and Specialized Programs THE TRENT/FLEMING SCHOOL OF NURSING The Trent/Fleming School of Nursing emphasizes a holistic approach to healthcare. Graduates of the collaborative and compressed programs are well-known as critical thinkers whose compassion and scientific knowledge are rooted in the values of professional and social responsibility. Accredited by the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing, and a Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (RNAO) “Best Practice Spotlight Organization,” the program spans a variety of nursing contexts. Knowledge and skills are developed through lectures, seminars, case studies, simulation labs, online coursework, and clinical practice. Theory and practice occur simultaneously, starting in first year. By the final year of study, students will have had the opportunity to practice nursing in a range of hospital and community settings.
