It’s so dark in here... please... help...
As the night is slowly defeated by darkness, a deafening silence gently loomed in the surroundings It was a very tiring day for Teacher Jolina, and all she wanted to do was to sleep early Just when she was about to sleep, she was confused by an unfamiliar noise. It sounded like a cat crying endlessly. She was startled, so she decided to follow where it was headed She was stunned by what she saw! His navel was still attached and was sandy with twisted cloth in his neck He was about to fall from a bamboo chair Teacher Jolina immediately brought him to the delivery facility where he was taken care of by the midwives
Is the baby a victim of unwanted pregnancy and was easily given away by his mother? Did she intend to kill him by putting scotch tape in his mouth or just let the baby stop crying so that nobody would
notice who abandoned him there? Th are some questions in the mind of the rescuer that hurt her so much. Justifications can’t be accepted for tr end the life of an innocent His right t survival was endangered In this crucia situation, I was so grateful to God tha Teacher Jolina didn’t think twice abou helping the baby She was able to res the infant in time and aided immediat She protected the little one by bringin to practitioners who did everything ju save the baby from danger and provid his newborn needs

Everyone deserves to be loved and taken care of. In a world of violence, there are still people with goodwill who are willing to adopt the child lovingly and wholeheartedly May he be able to find the love that was stolen from him.

happened to pass by at my favorite store. As I entered, I saw an unfamiliar face wearing the same skirt as my uniform sitting near the entrance. I did not mind her because I believed that she was just another child who was a victim of poverty, suffering, and asking for alms.
Another day had passed, and the unfamiliar face became familiar as I saw her again. But this time, she was carrying vegetables together with an old lady and a young boy selling on a rainy afternoon I carefully focused on her face. As our eyes met, I felt a sudden pain in my heart. She was indeed my schoolmate!
Due to curiosity, I invited her for a small stalk. She expressed her life’s situation and agony
“Our life is very hard. We are living under the bridge together with my eight siblings. My parents had no stable work and I need to do something for us to fill our stomachs”, she said.
She was studying in the morning and in the afternoon if her grandmother had no vegetables to be sold, she was staying near that store She had no choice but to ask for money because of hunger Sometimes, the store manager asked her help to clean the surroundings in return for money.
“Despite our poverty, I wanted to finish my studies and at the same time help the burden of my parents. At times, my mother got angry because of what I was doing. But whenever she saw that I brought food to be shared at the table, she just stayed silent”, she added.
Poverty is a reality we can’t deny Sometimes we don’t have a choice but to face the adversities of our lives. Not all children would understand and accept the situation that she was experiencing I admired her strength and courage. If I were in her shoes, I would also do the same and will never give up just to reach my dreams!

ne of the most common summer illnesses is chickenpox. In many individuals, the virus remains dormant until it reaches favorable weather conditions to thrive, and sun heat is the perfect catalyst.
This scenario is a bit disturbing since these pupils were not able to go to school for a week or more due to this contagious viral infection
Chickenpox is a highly contagious but preventable viral infection caused by the Varicella Zoster Virus It brings on an itchy rash with small, fluid-filled blisters, and spreads easily to those who have not had the disease or have not gotten the chicken pox vaccine The risk is higher for those who have had contact with an infected person and have a weakened immune system. Once someone is infected, the virus usually incubates for 14 to 16 days before a rash appears and lasts from 10 days to 21 days.
There are no symptoms during incubation and a person doesn’t become contagious until 1 to 2 days before the rash appears. The person remains contagious until all the blisters have dried, and scabs are formed. It is transmitted from one person to person by directly touching the blisters, saliva, or mucus of an infected person, it could also be transmitted through air by coughing and sneezing.

Onrapidcomposting Pupils discover using Trichoderma in gardening
on’t panic! It’s organic!
A very essential substance to yield abundant crops is fertilizers. Consequently, a variety of commercial fertilizers were introduced to the planters without considering their harmful effects on the soil and 100 percent of them are dependent on these fertilizers resulting in acidification of the soil and mineral depletion. Regional Crop Protection Center (RCPC) of Poblacion, Trento, Agusan del Sur supports the program of the school and provides Trichoderma, a kind of Fungus (amag) called Trichoderma harzianum. An effective bio-control agent against several fungal soil-borne plant pathogens. This is the most effective way to compost organic materials like rice hulls, corn husk & ears, sugarcane bagasse, dried leaves, fruits, and veggie peelings. After 4-6 weeks of decomposition, organic fertilizers are ready for distribution where farmers can ensure good quality of harvest and can give soil micro-nutrients
DECOMPOSITION: Pupilswereshownthe proceduresonhowtouse Trichodermaforrapid composting.
“It’s been an ideal plan of the school to reproduce clean, healthy but organic varieties of vegetable plants that exclude the use of any synthetic substances such as pesticides, medicines, genetically modified organisms, and most especially fertilizers for the Gulayan sa Paaralan Program (GPP)”, said Joseph P. Cabales, school principal.
