What moves me most is how these kits don’t just serve passengers, they tell stories. We’ve seen partnerships that spotlight emerging artists, showcase lesser-known countries, and bring local heritage to a global audience. In many cases, they’re changing lives at both ends of the journey: offering opportunity, dignity and recognition to those who create them, and unforgettable sensory moments for those who receive them.

TAP Air Portugal: A taste of ‘Portugality’

Take, for example, Skysupply’s collaboration with Icelandair. In a unique partnership with Icelandic artist Sara Riel, Skysupply developed a Business Class amenity kit that tells a distinctly Icelandic story.

Inspired by Riel’s “Flóran / The Flora,” a monumental mural created in collaboration with schoolchildren in Reykjavik, the amenity kit features artwork of native Icelandic plants and herbs, weaving local flora into every detail.

The kits themselves, crafted from durable, sustainable kraft paper, reflect Iceland’s environmental consciousness while retaining an understated elegance. Each kit includes postcards of Riel’s artwork, offering passengers a gift that connects them to the landscape below. It is a moment of pause and reflection in the cabin, a reminder of the place they are leaving or heading towards.

The design choices are intentional: blue hues nod to Icelandair’s brand palette, while pinks and greys bring warmth to the clean design language.

Here, Skysupply does not just provide an amenity kit; it curates an experience that mirrors Icelandair’s brand promise and the essence of the country it represents.

Their partnership with TAP Air Portugal is another example of Skysupply’s storytelling in action.

Working alongside Benamôr, Portugal’s iconic cosmetics brand, Skysupply has created a Business Class amenity kit that is a love letter to ‘Portugality’.

Available in eight vibrant colours, each representing a slice of Portuguese culture – from the yellow of nata pastries to the purple blossoms of the Jacarandá – these kits celebrate tradition while embracing modernity.

These are stories that engage all the senses. The collaboration with Benamôr infuses the kits with a scent and aesthetic that immediately conjure memories of Portugal’s cobbled streets, coastal breezes, and warm hospitality.

From the floral patterns on the eye masks to the softness of the signature hand cream, every element of the kit has a link to the country’s beauty traditions.

Sustainability plays a key role too, with bags made from recycled PET bottles, a toothbrush crafted from bamboo, and paper packaging in place of plastic wherever possible.

For TAP, whose brand promise is ‘Genuinely Portuguese’, these amenity kits are an extension of the airline’s mission to deliver authentic, heartfelt experiences that linger in memory long after the passenger has stepped off the aircraft.

Lufthansa’s new Wing Pattern Design is inspired by the elegant motion of a crane’s wing. Both men’s and women’s kits are crafted from lightweight, durable nylon jacquard, which helps reduce the airline’s carbon footprint. The bags feature Lufthansa’s corporate branding, with the logo engraved on a silver button.

The women’s kit converts into a clutch with a removable wrist strap, while the men’s pouch-style kit has a handle attached on the side. Both of these kits include exclusive Augustinus Bader cosmetics.

Lufthansa new kit in collaboration with Porsche Design, available in two contemporary styles that combine sophistication with practicality for both in-flight and everyday use. These kits reflect Lufthansa’s commitment to high design standards while being versatile for various applications.

The black unisex pouch highlights “Made in Germany” quality, featuring a flexible design that transforms from trapezoidal to rectangular. It includes a zipped side pocket, two smaller compartments, and one larger section. Inside, you’ll find ecofriendly products and luxury Augustinus Bader cosmetics.

Lufthansa and Porsche Design have crafted an exclusive first-class amenity kit reflecting the “Made in Germany’ reputation for quality and innovation. They designed a multi-functional cable case that combines practicality with sustainable style.

The sleek black hard case features a convenient handle and three compartments for organised storage. Passengers will find a bamboo toothbrush set, socks, mints, a sleeping mask, and luxurious Augustinus Bader cosmetics. This hard case can be repurposed, promoting long-term use and helping to minimise waste.

This second update of the Ettinger Amenity introduces two new colour options. Staying faithful to its eco-conscious principles, each luxurious bag is crafted from cotton canvas and recycled PU and features custom zip pulls.

The bags are available in vibrant colours selected by ANA and have a mustard or grey Ettinger emblem lining. Each bag comes with a matching recycled PU coin wallet, an ecofriendly shopper bag with an ombre print, and luxury skincare products from Shiseido.

Every finjan, created in collaboration with the Culinary Arts Commission, blends tradition with modern design: the central area features clay structures and palm trees, the western area emphasises the Taif rose, the eastern region highlights the Calligonum Al Arta plant, the northern area draws inspiration from olive trees, and the southern section showcases vibrant Assiri patterns.

United Airlines Supplier Linstol Month introduced June 2024

New limited-edition pyjamas featuring Wrexham AFC to mark the football club’s recent promotion to League One. These exclusive pyjamas are available only to Polaris passengers and embody a spirit of achievement and collaboration.

The set includes a bright red, long-sleeved shirt inspired by the Wrexham AFC jersey, with the club’s crest and United Airlines branding. It is paired with grey trousers displaying the United logo, symbolising the team’s energetic spirit and increasing global recognition. As the evening drew to a close, guests were treated to one final gift: a Pro-aging Antioxidant Boost from Beauty Thinkers, Monte Vibiano’s skincare line. Created using an antioxidant byproduct of the olive oil pressing process, this gift was a nod to the brand’s belief that what’s good for the body can also be good for the skin, and that nature and science can work hand in hand to bring out the best in both.

It was an evening that captured the essence of Monte Vibiano: a perfect blend of heritage and innovation, luxury and sustainability, shared in the spirit of togetherness and care.

China Airlines Supplier Formia Month introduced March 2024

These stylish kits are available in French blue and dark grey, featuring pouches made from recycled faux leather with the Moschino logo debossed in gold and a detachable wrist strap. Inside, there are colour-coordinated travel essentials, a Moschino-branded luggage tag, and some of Moschino’s best-selling beauty products.

This new collection, launched in collaboration with Italian fashion house Moschino, marks the brand’s first onboard release. Sustainability remains a key focus, with skincare tubes made from post-consumer recycled plastic.

This compact kit includes insulating foil to keep drinks cold and features the airline’s new blue branding. It is given to all passengers and comes in a dark blue, rectangular pouch.

One side displays the message, “Let’s discover your new travel buddy,” while the other side outlines the bag’s benefits.

Inside, the bag contains socks, headset covers, an eye mask, and an eco-friendly bamboo toothbrush, toothpaste, and organic face cream from Hej Cosmetics.

Teresa Helbig designs new sustainable kits in navy blue, red, and yellow, made from recycled PET. They include vegan cosmetics from Uvas Frescas, created from wine waste and packaged in materials derived from sugarcane, emphasising sustainable innovation.

The assembly is managed by Envera, an organisation with over 400 employees of diverse abilities. Passengers can choose either the entire kit or individual items to reduce waste. Each kit contains compression socks, an eye mask, a toothbrush, toothpaste, earplugs, Uvas Frescas lip balm, and hand cream.

Aegean Airlines Supplier WESSCO International Month introduced November 2023

Aegean has partnered with Athens-based skincare brand KORRES to create a kit celebrating Greek heritage and wellness.

Highlighting the benefits of Greek yoghurt—a renowned ingredient known for its moisturising and nourishing properties.

The kit includes KORRES’ Greek Yoghurt Nourishing Probiotic Gel Cream, which provides 48 hours of hydration, and the Greek Yoghurt Lip Balm, infused with Greek Balsam Oil to soothe and revitalise dry, chapped lips. It also features an eyeshade, a dental kit, and a reusable item bag.

Bringing bold, minimalist art to this years review At this year’s WTCE in Hamburg, TravelPlus visited the skysupply booth and met Nadia Flower from New Zealand.

With a background in graphic design and fashion, Nadia enjoys exploring line and composition as she personalises bags with her distinctive ink and marker drawings.
