10th Annual Conference With annual budgets constantly under threat, it is important for companies to invest finite resources wisely so one needs to exercise discretion in deciding which travel trade events to support. As Ireland’s largest travel agency group comprising 77 outlets nationwide, Travel Centres member companies generate between them, almost one third of all retail sales each year. Our annual owners/managers conference and supplier workshop therefore represents an ideal opportunity for suppliers, tourist boards and other trade partners to network with the largest gathering of decision makers that takes place each year. In 2014 we are celebrating our 10th such conference and it’s fair to say that the event itself has grown both in size and stature over the previous nine years to the point where it is now considered one of the premier ‘must do’ events on the travel trade social calendar as many agencies

effectively use the conference as the basis for their pre-Christmas party celebrations. The format for this years event remains largely unchanged from previous years although we have ‘tweaked’ it in a number of places in response to delegates comments so hopefully these changes will make for a better and more productive experience for all concerned.

Last year, 52 separate brands were represented at the supplier workshop and with 2014 already measuring up to exceed last year, early registration is advised as we are limited in the number of suppliers/exhibitors that we can comfortably accommodate. The attached registration form contains details of the relevant costs involved, together with information on the various sponsorship ‘packages’ available.

Aside from the regular ‘speed dating’ format which takes up most of the Saturday, suppliers and exhibitors are afforded many opportunities to network on an informal basis not only with travel agency owners and managers but also front line staff at the various lunches, dinners and cocktail receptions that take place over the course of the two-day conference amidst the convivial surroundings of Killashee House Hotel — a former convent and private boarding school located on expansive grounds just three miles outside the thriving market town of Naas, Co. Kildare.

Corporate guests availing of these specials are required to arrive at The Villa Spa 30 minutes prior to appointment time to complete a consultation form and relax in preparation for your treatments. As part of our service we provide robes, slippers, towels and disposable underwear for the duration of your stay. All guests are entitled to use our relaxation suite and country club facilities. Swimwear is needed for pool use. Tea, coffee, juices and mineral water are complimentary.

We kindly ask that 48 hours notice must be given in order to cancel appointment. Less than 24 hours notice of cancellation will result in a 50% charge.
