A.GIVE-AWAY REGULATIONS
1 The contest is organized by TRAVELBASE BV with its registered office at Sassevaartstraat 42, 9000 Ghent, VAT BE0518.932.281 (hereinafter referred to as "Travelbase") and is open to all natural persons over 18 years of age residing in Germany, Austria, Belgium and Switzerland, and who have an Instagram profile No purchase is necessary
2 Instagram is not associated with or responsible for the contest
3. The contest runs from 21/03/2024 until 28/03/2024. The winners will be announced on 29/03/2024.
4 The contest will be featured on the Instagram page of Travelbase Trails (DE) To validly participate, participants must creatively answer the question posed in the post announcing the contest, 'like' the respective post, 'save' it, and 'tag' someone else in the comments. Participants may post as many comments as they wish and increase their chances by sharing the post in their stories If your Instagram account is private and Travelbase cannot see your 'stories,' you must send a screenshot to the Instagram page of Travelbase Trails validly demonstrating that you shared the post in your 'stories '
5 The winners are participants whose answers are deemed the most creative and enjoyable by the jury, consisting of a team of employees from the marketing department of Travelbase The jury will assess the answers at its discretion and is not obligated to provide any justification for its selection, positive or negative No correspondence will be conducted with the participants in this regard The winners will be contacted no later than 1 week after the end of the contest
6. Travelbase is not required to justify a specific choice of winner.
7 There are 3 prizes in this contest: a hiking trip for 2 people (choose from the 12 existing hiking trails of Travelbase in a period of your choice) The prize includes the basic package, excluding flight costs. Those who already booked a trail will be refunded according to the terms of the prize to be won Additionally, there are 2 travel vouchers worth €250 each, to be used for Travelbase hiking trips This prize is not transferable or exchangeable for cash or other benefits in kind
8. An employee of Travelbase will contact the winner via their Instagram account through which they participated in the contest If the winner does not respond within 2 weeks, they lose the right to their prize The winner also forfeits the right to their prize if it is not utilized within a year of the contest
9 Travelbase staff may not participate in this contest Other individuals who have directly or indirectly contributed to the organization or distribution of this contest are also excluded from participation.
10 Participation in this contest requires the collection and processing of the participant's personal data for the purpose of the contest as described in the privacy statement of the contest The privacy statement can be found at the end of the contest rules in chapter B.
11 Travelbase reserves the right to change the contest or its course if unforeseen circumstances or circumstances beyond their control justify this They cannot be held liable if, due to circumstances beyond their control, the contest has to be interrupted, postponed, or canceled, or if certain terms of this contest have to be modified
12 In case of misuse, deception, fraud, or if circumstances require it, Travelbase expressly reserves the right (a) to exclude the relevant participant(s) from participating in the contest or winning, as well as, at their discretion, future contests; or (b) to change, postpone, shorten, or withdraw the contest or
part of it In such cases, Travelbase also reserves the right to ask the relevant participant for the return of any prize already awarded and to claim compensation for any damage suffered by it and/or Travelbase (including damage to reputation).
13 Travelbase is not responsible for disruptions, breakdowns, or other technical or unforeseen problems arising, for example, from your internet connection or third parties, including Instagram Travelbase is not responsible for any damage that may arise from the acceptance or use of the prize by the winner, nor for any defects in the prize or if it does not meet the expectations created
14 Participation in this contest implies the unconditional acceptance of these rules No dispute in this regard will be considered Participants accept without reservation the applicable conditions simply by participating in the contest.
15 This contest and this regulation are subject to Belgian law The Dutch-speaking courts of Brussels have exclusive jurisdiction for all disputes relating to its application
B.PRIVACY STATEMENT
1. Travelbase treats the participants' data as confidential information and will never disclose it to third parties not belonging to Travelbase They are used for the further progress and handling of this contest, as Travelbase cannot contact the winner without this information
2. The entity responsible for awarding the prize is Travelbase. Each participant agrees that, if they are the winner, they will be contacted personally via Instagram by Travelbase
3 The data will be deleted immediately after the contest is fully processed
4 Participants have the right to request to view, correct, delete, and transfer their data, as well as the right to restrict processing. Furthermore, the participant may object to the processing of their data, particularly in processing for marketing communication The participant can also always contact the data protection officer of Travelbase for any complaints, questions, and exercise of rights at: trails@travelbase.eu (DE).
